ten page research paper for my english class due tmrw. i started it today and now i'm almost half-way done, but just took a break from it to say, "this sucks."
it's on herbal alternatives to pharmaceuticals. not a bad topic, but i am exhaaausted. maybe i should have some yerba mate or ginseng, you know, as an alternative to crystal meth.
so I take it you think herbal alternatives should be used to pharmeucuticals. How do you control dosage? Is there any interaction with other foods or drugs that may be potentially dangerous? Are many of the herbal alternatives easy to consume or taste good? Just posing some questions that maybe you can address in the paper but certainly questions of concern to me. I've tried some herbs in a tea I thought it was disgusting.
yeeeees, i finished my paper. i ended up focusing on alternatives for anxiety, pain relief and birth control. i wasn't adamently anti-pharms, i think i stayed pretty unbiased. my main point was just that people should be AWARE that there are alternatives, not necessarily that they're better. i just think people are too quick to pop a pill without really knowing what they're taking... so yeah, i'm totally done. i have a final tomorrow though... and then another for ethnic relations on monday and then another for geography on the 18th. i hate the end of the semester, it's so much work, but after the 18th i'll be done.. until summer school starts..
i found that some herbs have the same side effects as their synthetic counterparts do. like white willow bark (for pain relief) can irritate stomach lining the same as aspirin does and st. john's wort can cause heart palpitations just like prozac-type-stuff. a lot of the herbs used have the same physical effects as modern drugs, but they're just the natural form of the same thing... i do use herbs for some things, though, like when i can't sleep, for period cramps, for energy, to help get rid of colds... and most herbs can be made to taste better by either combining them with better tasting herbs, or by adding honey or sugar.
i hope the teacher thinks so. i'm always paranoid that my teachers will give me a bad grade just for having a different viewpoint than them. some of my papers are pretty opinionated.
i got 81%... but she wrote "very good" so i guess it was better than some of my classmates. i'm happy - i got a B on a paper i wrote in one day that we had two + months to do. the points i lost were for stupid stuff like not numbering the pages. so overall, yaaaay.
That's not bad but you should have taken my advice on the meth. I wrote a 15 page paper in one night on meth and got an A, trust me i'm not all that smart or great of a writer.
oh, i've written several papers on meth which was great but not worth it. havn't touched it in over 3 years and am now generally disgusted by it / its users. (no offense).
Really? I thought i was the only person in the world who did such a thing. I thought everyone else used adderall or vyvanese or some other prescription shit. We would be good together you know....
well i did meth everyday back then. it was just a coincidence if i had a paper to write. but really, you know.. adderall is like the same thing. stupid doctors giving drugs to children...
Adderall is like diet meth, certainly not the same thing. I only did meth that one night haha. Maybe it was because of that paper and I didn't really get to enjoy it but it wasn't my thing. I did adderall quite a bit though.
