Hey new jersey folks, as it so looks at the moment I am going to relocate myself to the town of pennsville down in south jersey so I can go to school at salem cc and get my scientific glass training.

I am not incredibly familiar with jersey and dont know anyone round there. I fear what the herbs are like. as far as I can tell it seems rather blue collar conservative with a ghettoy feel down there.

south jersey folk enlighten me, ps whats with all the custard stands?

check out appel farm in elmer, they have lots of cool little concerts in their theatre and a cool one day fest in the summer. I just saw richie havens there a few months back..was sweet. Southern Shore music fest is really good, if you're into bluegrass theres a good 3 day with camping over labor day weekend at the salem county fairgrounds.

..and Camp Jam in the Pines, at a campground in monroeville...they have 7-8 bands play..im thinking end of this month....

i know lots about the area. everything is there and you just need to look. If I were you delaware is only right over the bridge and they have lots of great bars in trolly square playing great music and University of Delaware in Newark Delaware is only 30 minutes away. salem county bluegrass festival is a must labor day weekend. great artists. anything you need to know send me a pm.

I also know many glass blowers in the area who either have stayed or moved on. Some got their start at the college others not

your right pennsville can suck. But there are many people into the scene and an abundance of many things. Your an outsider and they are very sketchy when it comes to outsiders. Pennsville is riddled with narcs, and just plain shadiness. Yes, very blue collar but many of the people try to remain on the DL so they do not attract any unwanted attention. Cops make up excuses just to pull people over. Get to know some of the people and you'll be surprised. Anything and I mean anything is found there. With bordering towns like salem and carney's pt. its not uncommon to go in the bathroom of a bar and see something on top of the toilet tank.
