First I should say, watched like a third, because I'm impatient and wanted to reply... so if i missed something.... too damn bad.

Looks generally pretty awesome. When strait hair is partly dreaded, on camera it just looks strait, but the opposite is true of curly hair.

I don't think those parts of your hair will cause much problem, I expect in 4-5 months you'll have pretty complete, maturing dreads. When your dreads are farther along, if those don't either dread or get sucked into other dreads and they're bothering you, you can stuff them into the bases of dreads, and they will lock in.

Ahh! They look amazing so far! I'm incredibly jealous. I just started mine like a week and a half ago, but i backcombed. They look sick! I can't wait to see them form. Keep updating :]

heheh :D you mean that one nestled amongst all the other ones? I know they might not feel like "dreads" but you've got locks, it will just take time for them to attain...knotty unity :biggrinjester: :hurray: You hairs look good man.

The back usually gets formed first because of weight/friction from your head while you sleep. For the next couple of months you'll probably be getting all antsy waiting for things to actually happen, but when it does you'll know. You will probably always have some loose hair (not as much as you have now, but some). As previously posted, their are ways to deal with that, but I like that you've taken a non-interventionist approach, keep it up.

    mate, those are looking good.
I was quite interested to see how they would turn out for your friend's wedding, but they are looking really really good. kinda reminds me of Zach DelaRocha... (i think?) from RATM in his days of dreads.

Like you said in the video we would notice a big change, probably more so than you do since you look at them every day.

They look sick though, Keep'em going

Lookin' great as usual. You remind me of my bro, his locks are 4-5 years old now, but his aren't 'natural.' The comparison is interesting. You're almost there dude, soon they will be tight and you'll just have to wait for them to grow :D

Thanks a lot! Yeah I can't wait until they get some length. Some where around my collar bone would be a good length I think.

dude your dreads are looking awesome - heaps of progress for such a short time :) they remind me of a good friend of mine's dreads, his hair was similar length and texture when he started and he has incredible dreads now

and i agree with the other girls, you're definately a hottie ;)

Right now some of my locks are getting a bunch of loops and bumps, I figure they are beginning to tighten. After the initial hair has locked and tightened it should grow in length faster? Is that correct?

depends on what you mean by faster. instead of seeing no gain inlength, you may see about an inch gain. lol. i laugh only b/c i'm waiting for mine to grow.
