As some of you might remember Texas is basically trying to rewrite history for millions and millions of American school children. This week the evangelical dominated school board is set to pass the changes. Fuck you America.

    Fuck you Texas.

I find it ironic that the teabaggers love Jefferson's quote about watering the tree of liberty, but don't like him enough due to his separation of church and state beliefs to actually include him in a history book.

Keep in mind folks that these are the same people who find 'Tom Sawyer' to be the zenith of literature.

Actually that could be promising. Tom and Huck didn't tend to judge people strictly by race. Nothing wrong with Mark Twain in fact a lot of conservatives fought to have his books banned for decades. Not that I think Texas or teabaggers value the same things Mark Twain did. Things like individual freedaom and respect for everyone.

Problem with Texas is you have people like Baraba Cargill, probably part of the moneyed Cargill's espousing what's right for our nation. For those of you that don't know Cargill is the largest privately owned business in the US.

The Bush Cargill link goes back further than the Cheney Haliburton link. Faith Based Iniatives, No Child Left Behind, did you think these really had anything to do with lifting up the poor? Who profitted? The Bush family and their friends, ask Rev. Hagee how his ministry prospered during the Bush years.

Now that the "fair" Laura has come out in favor of gay marriage, you think these text books will reflect that? I am not holding my breath. Maybe Cheney's daughter is.

Some folks in Texas want to leave the US? I say we throw Texas out. We should have done it before Bush was elected.

In your own words can you tell us what that "liberal bias" is? My guess is that you have no idea, most conservatives who use this term don't.

Just passing by and noticed this question. Reality is emergent whereas "right", seeks compliance. In this respect I can see where reality has a liberal bias. Look at the diversity of species and the improbable construction of many life forms. We've only recently discovered a whole chemo synthetic ecology, creatures who's energy system is not dependent on the sun, (photo synthetic).

Thomas Jefferson made that statement about church and state being separate in a letter to the Danbury Baptist Convention. He was having problems with them. There is no other evidence that he thought church and state should be separate.
Our Constitution forbids government intrusion into religion.
Schools in this country have become more socialist every year. Most schools would have completely removed all references to the founding of our country and replace that with socialist dribble. In order for a country to be free they have to be free to accept a higher moral absolute than humanity.
The best way to destroy a society is to interject socialist poison earlier and earlier in the curriculum of students.
Socialism destroys the mind, the body and the soul, thereby when totally in control it destroys the society dumb enough to allow to happen.
Just like the last election. The people were the dumbest they have ever been now we have to live with the results.

What about religious intrusion into government?
