    G'evening.

I am a 20 year old guy without a huge amount of cash. I also have no idea of what I would want to do with my life. Organic homesteading, permaculture and music are my primary interests. However the odds of me making a decent salary are pretty slim.

I have also considered massage therapy and physical therapy, but I lack funds to pay the tuition.

Ive considered the military, but I just don't feel I will be happy with that path. Yet it seems just as viable with every passing day.

How can I overcome this without going into debt?

    Thanks,

Grants, loans, scholarships, FAFSA, etc... there's all kinds of financial help out there. Do you currently have a job? Lots of people these days have to juggle school and work to ultimately get to what they really want to do in life... looks like I'm going to have to do the same thing soon if I don't want to be doomed to a lifelong "career" in retail...

I don't know much about organic homesteading or permaculture, but I think doing what you love is a salary all its own. I want to get into veterinary, and frankly there's less money to be made in that field than you'd probably think.. but it's what I've always wanted to do and I've decided it's my calling, so if I just barely squeak by but I know I'm doing what I love, I'll be satisfied.

    Good luck!

I went to school full time and worked full time. I did it and now I have an awesome job that I wouldn't be able to get without my degree. I had to take out loans. I'm paying them off now. I had no financial support from my parents, so I was on my own. A lot of people are in this situation.

If you just pursue money, your life you will never be truly, find your passion and pursue that, You will then enjoy your life no matter how much you make.

Love of the job makes perfection in the work. If this is the case then the money will find you eventually, don't worry about it.

And keep out of the military!!!! Please!!!

At my college there is a thing I'm gonna be signing up for called work study. You work on the campus for the college and it pays for your schooling. I'm not going to be taking out any loans or anything of that nature. When I graduate I will have nothing to pay back.
