    Another couple of articles about this;

    http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/esp_orionzone_8.htm

    http://jcolavito.tripod.com/lostcivilizations/id8.html

    Could there be a coverup?

Of course there 'could be'... but is there?

Why doesn't someone just go look?

I've searched the net looking for someone who actually tried this unique approach, and besides side references by people who have travelled the river and say they've never seen it I can't find anything.

I've seen a lot of "that area is off limits", but I also see a lot of "it's illegal to smoke pot" and lots of us do that... lol

Not sure how you mean that.... I do, of course, stand by everything I said, I just didn't feel like arguing it out.

Of course, I'd love to go poke around the grand canyon, make that 4 :p

I just know damn well it wasent the egyptions :p

Thanks for coming back. I wrote a huge page full of junk that looked dumb when i posted it after you edited your post -grr.

Basically, i was trying to point out that it was not an impossible idea for some Egyptians to have left their land, as many cultures have done it over the ages.

And i did agree with your hypothesis on Asians as well. We need to go bust down the door, and look around for ourselves, to be sure.

If it was a hoax, it would still be fun looking around the Grand Canyon any way! I went there when i was a teen, and it was a blast! I went to the Havasupai falls with my church group.

Ehh, my bad, but at the time I was feeling strange, everyone else posted like 3 words, I wrote an essay... I tend to do that:D

I also felt like it was needlessly confrontational, something else I tend to do.

there are pyramids all over the world... pyramids were originally perceived as an Ancient Egyptian phenomena alone but that is simply not the case... i looked at the links but there are no pics, so i don't know why they are attributed to Egyptians in particular... i haven't read the articles in their entirety, but will when i have the time... thanks for posting this... it is interesting... :)

I looked up the "pyramid"s in the grand canyon, the isis thing and whatnot, and it's very obviously natural, though it is an intriguing outcropping that would be likely to be picked for that sort of use.

    I smell bullshit.

Today, visitors looking from the South Rim of the Canyon can see the structure called ‘The Isis Temple’ – a pyramid hewn from the solid rock of the cliff top, and obviously man-made. Page 302 in the book, Ancient secrets of the Flower of Life Vol II, holds an account, by two backpackers, of an exploration of this edifice.

They tell of finding cave entrances that had been deliberately sealed, though they did seem man made, one having a clear, 6ft circular pattern carved into the roof. This site is over 40 miles from the one reported in the newspaper article – yet why would caves that are almost inaccessible need to be sealed up, and was the originally stated location simply a mistake?

Seem man made etc. And It doesn't explain at all why the so-called pyramid on top of a meaningless mountain is thought to be man-made. I demand a detailed picture and instructions!

Same shit as with the yeti, now you americans think it lives in alaska... What was originally thought to exist, and discovered, in Mongolia.

If i had those, this story would be posted in the Arizona Tourism Guide, not the Weird, Bizarre and Mysterious Forum.

And i would have discussed your questions with you, if you hadn't started off with "I smell bullshit" in your post.

    Have a nice day.

We don’t call him the Yeti we call him Sasquatch or Bigfoot [IMG]

The closest comparison we have here in the north woods is the Wendigo
