Ok, I saw a reference to one other country concert, so I'll brave this thread. I've been to a few rock concerts and can hardly remember them. They were arena shows. Alcohol and drug enhanced events. I do remember David Lee Roth too drunk to sing at a Van Halen concert. But my favorite concert ever was Hoyt Axton. He was a story telling kind of singer and he loved him some cannabis, so he was subversive in the C & W industry, thus his appeal to me. He played for 3 hours; singing, telling stories, letting his band members have their moments. Then, as the roadies are breaking down the set, he comes out with a stool and his guitar and proceeds to sing and talk for another 45 minutes. Best $20 bucks I ever spent. A real entertainer in his element.
Weidly enough, trans Siberian orchestra. I don't listen to their music much, but they put on one mind blowing show. I saw them around Christmas a while ago, and was blown away. I saw them play bethovens last night last month and that was awsome too.
I really liked the Buzzcocks & Pearl Jam. Had a good buzz. Although my 2 Warped Tour experiences were excellent, but does that count as a concert?? The Folk Festival was a blast too.
My favourite concert would have to be Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood at the Wembely Arena, London, last friday.
Have you seen the DVD? I was there in Madison Square Garden when they filmed that. A top five all-time concert, for sure.
