Van Wilder. The only movie I have ever seen that was so terrible I turned it off mid movie in disgust. Ryan Reynolds needs to have his wiener split inside out for that piece of garbage.
I found Sex Drive entertaining. It was a stupid movie but that's what it was - still entertaining. Loved the Amish guy and apparently they hope no real Amish will ever see the flick. "I enjoy bad movies"
far as i've seen - jeepers creepers sucks hate hanging ending, also Watchmen seems like a way too old of a movie i'm watching "Get him to the Greek" next - let's see if it will belong to the worst or fave
Without a doubt, "Event Horizon". It's a science-fiction, haunted house in space movie for 3/4's of the film and then, it's revealed that the object the space team is investigating is a portal to hell in the last 10 minutes when Sam O'Neill shows up with his eyes sewed shut? It's like the writer or director chose a random, plug-in ending. I don't mind surprise or unexpected resolutions and in fact hate being force fed or conked over the head through out a movie, but come on. The resolution ought to have some connection with the rest of the film. My son was 12 or 13 at the time and even he was put off and felt cheated.
I have that DVD, right next to Supernova (1999) and Solaris (2003) on my shelf. Not only are Event Horizon (1997) and Supernova similar in subject, I think they are close in competition for Bad Movie. However, your complaints of Event Horizon are about the same as mine for Sunshine (2007)a more recent flick that had a weird twist in the end.
Amazing how two similar films come out at the same time, huh? I think I remember attempting to watch Supernova. I just read the synopsis. They cheat the ending too. How do these kinds of movies make it to release in theaters? Do they just give up in editing and let it ride? Hard to believe when there are so many "stars" associated with those films. Did the actors not read to the end of the script? Poor/illogical story telling kills it for me every time. I also don't like quirky characters that are clearly so just for the sake of being quirky.
I had the same problem back in 1989 when I convinced my parents to take me to The Leviathan and Deepstar Six and couldn't believe how awful they were :ack2: Hotwater
I know huh? And then someone saw fit to revive the theme with "Virus" in 1999. They are all interchangeable and dumb.
I'm going to state the obvious: Twilight and New Moon. I watched them for shits and giggles... wasn't worth it. Everyone seems to be ragging on Jeepers Creepers, but I really liked that movie.
BLASPHEMY!!! I love those flicks; the conflicted romance with a little Werewolf/Vampire action thrown in.
i'd gonna have to put this out there and flame me all you want, but i personally thought that the hangover one of the worse movies i ever wasted my money on. and funny people. and pineapple express. comedies that aren't funny are irritating. :/
I hated The Dark Knight, too,(except for Heath Ledger's performance) but you're the only one I know who agrees with me.
Sweeny Todd, I saw it stoned first and giggled my way through, then a year later I saw it again, sober, big mistake. IT SUCKS!!
When I was in college, it was considered very hip to see avant-garde Swedish films, always incredibly slow and in black-and-white, like Bergman films. I was always accompanied by a young woman I wanted to score with. I remember that every time I saw one, I would think, "That's the worst film I ever saw." I realize that saying that might put me in the heathen category for people way more sophisticated than I am.
