I live fairly close-by in Portsmouth, New Hampshire (just across the way from Kittery) but you live seriously down-east up there in Bangor

Haha, yeah i do, i wouldn't ever move any further than Bangor, ideally i'd live in Portland but eh, you gotta live with what you're given ya? Bangors a pretty nice small city though.

And thanks bogusyle i'm sure i'll eventually post more, i just tend to get lost in these forums rather easily haha, i'm used to small community forums, not big ones.

Maine is one of only about 3 or 4 states I haven't visited. I hope to get there sometime. I've heard it's gorgeous!

Even though I live in Berkeley I grew up about 4 hours south of you in Harpswell. Down by Brunswick.

    Peace Out,

central maine's where it's at.... waterville, skowhegan, augusta, etc. Or that's what I think anyway, having lived there. Nice small towns that are just big enough.

I went to UMA in the late 90's as a music major. I sure as hell don't miss the winters though.

    Peace Out,

I used to work with this guy who grew up in small town just east of the allagash wilderness waterway and after getting a taste of rockingham county and big city life (pop. 22,000) hightailed it back to the comfort and serenity of rural maine :D

Will feature more than 20,000 pounds of luscious lobster,a 10k road race, local woodworkers and the "Big Parade," which draws upward of 25,000 fans. Sample the wares of talented amateur chefs as you listen to music ranging from jazz to reggae and enjoy the spawling views of the Penobscot Bay. (August 4th-8th, www.mainelobsterfestival.com )

Maybe we could arrange a nature walk meetup or something.

I never get over to the lobster festival lately, I think I might make a concerted efort to go this year.

The black flies didn't hold a candle to the mosquitos this year. Some of them are big enough to go at it with a knife and fork
