I was going to say go to an Aquarium....but that's because I live close to the Monterey Bay one. If there is one near you, then you could go there.

At 20, which was many years ago for me, I would have settled for a nice dinner out and then hanging out with my friends. Often, though, I did little or nothing for my b day. Money is always tight.

A movie is nice, too.

Shopping.

I know...I'm just kinda not so innovative. Oh....a concert is nice, too.

It could be done with two passes in two months. Get a VIA Rail's Canrailpass for use over 9,000 miles of track, then swing back through the USA on an Amtrak 30-day pass.

 

The only thing I hate more than other people's birthdays is my own birthday. I think what I do is turn off the phone and go for a 3-5 hour walk.

Almost invariably, that's what I do on every holiday or fake-ass special occasion.
