Actually, I have an extremely hot fiance who takes the same approach as the guy's girlfriend who started the thread. Being rich helps also.

When I was younger there was a girl who I really liked and she broke up with me. She told me the reason was "you are too nice to me and you give me everything I want." I think the really hot girls prefer a guy who is a little more edgy, firm but a little indifferent.

You really cannot come across as "too into" girls, especially the hot ones. They get massive attention everywhere. If you are confident and come across as not being devistated if they don't want you, that seems to make them want you. Then you need to dole out only limited amounts of being a super nice guy.
