seriously, i'm witnessing emotional breakdown carnage everywhere i look now. i know people are stressed, but they're turning feral lately. biting the faces off of friends and family alike over things they've seen on the news or read on facebook. and i used to be the crazy one. being mean to your friends isn't going to fix anything. the way things look like they're going, you should be gathering to you as many friends and family as you can, because it looks like you're going to need them.

it's so strange, being the calm one.

when the going gets tough, the weak become feral. i'm one of those. :sheepish: i've witnessed about 6 or 7 of the nicest people i've known turn into raging, shrieking, hysterical little bitches and render into oblivion long standing relationships. it's pretty amazing.

just like being broke ruins marriages. there's a reason politics and religion aren't supposed to be discussed at the dinner table in company. family has to put up with you. friends don't.

I have not noticed those that are usually are pretty level being any different...well yet. :)

I have a few friends who are a little excitable and that varies from time to time and depending on the topic. Since most of those are long term friends, sometimes the conversations are just avoided, if not then I normally just sit and let it go as the rant dies faster. :)

Unfortunately for most who are stressed they usually tend to isolate themselves more and then it tends to amplify the stress. I have not noticed anyone who is removing themselves from our group per say........but worth watching for.

i'm not close to very many people. the ones i'm close to tend to act the same way and stay close regardless. what's a little fight?

but i've seen a few very sad situations lately between people who are usually close friends no longer being so. acquaintances and bicker buddies, like many of us here are, come and go.

That is really unfortunate. As you stated stress is stress and for most they usually when they are friends put down an episode of nutty behaviour as just that.

Maybe pride? In that after someone has gone a little off the deep end, it is easier to just avoid than say.....guess I appeared a little off balance the other night, sorry about that.

I agree. Sneaky awesomeness aside, when I'm drunk you're the winner.

Well, my boyfriends best friend did try to murder him by strangulation, so I would say that was indicative of a severe mental decline.

I wasn't aware that sane people tried to kill their friends with anything... I guess that shows how much I know
