It needn't be exactly one hour, but what have you achieved that you look back upon with pleasure? I cycled 550 miles through France a few years ago without strangling my traveling companion which I'm quite proud of.
Probably when I was about 17, played for my National hockey team in some competition we reached the final, and we were 5-1 down. There was only 2 minutes left and I managed to score 5 goals. We won the competition obviously, it made the paper, I was very chuffed. I have no idea how I managed it, because the other team were good, just I somehow found an incredible opening. That was an amazing moment.
Travelling nearly 200 miles on my own to meet someone. To say I was partically agoraphobic just years earlier, it was something of a step. I'm also lucky the person didn't turn out to be a 300lb trucker called Earl too, I guess.
I drove over 2600 kilometers once to knock on my sisters door and drop in for a surprise visit that was probably the best feeling I ever had I'm also one of those people who doesnt leave home often
I tripped so hard once that I went to outer space and stopped beyond the moons IO, and Europa of Jupiter. It took a very long time, but I finally made it there. I also made it back, and I am extremely proud of that entire trip. I'm not kidding.
Ive saved some random strangers from being killed at various times, that was I think a big result for them but its not really a achievement. so not really sure I have one
Recently, for me, it was turning my life around... On new years eve I was dumped out of a 2yr relationship, went out clubbing as I had a couple of mates down and got VERY messy...new years day I get a call from my 1-day-old-ex to ask if I knew anything about a very dear friend of mine, as people had left him facebook messages to "rest in peace". Turns out he'd been in a coma, and died on NYE. This, combined with having no money because of a c. tax lump-sum bill with only 3 weeks pay, meant January was a dark, dark month for me. So, I started my new decade on my 24th birthday (start of Feb). Since then, I've been allot more social and made time for all my friends; exercised, properly, for the first time - my strength has increased almost two-fold, my stamina probably four-fold, lost 3" round my waist (34-35" to 31-32"), gained tone and am becoming happy with my body; become driven and passionate about my work; cut down on drinking; given up most ciggies and am treating weed with more respect I'm a firm believer in firstly looking after yourself, and once in good shape, looking after others...so now my friends can't get rid of me
