I only had them for a month and 15-16 days. Then one day I just randomely woke up and felt like change and spent like 3 hours in a bathrtub with conditioner in my hair and in the water and brushed and brushed and lost alot of hair it hurt quite a bit and then went and had the dead ends cut off and my hair is still pretty long. But I definetly miss them and their pillowness. LOL I used to put my hood up on the bus and rest my head against the window and it was like a travel pillow.

And id walk around with this delusional self confidence and whatever people thought about me it didnt really matter because I just did my own thing. I'd just laugh if they thought my baby dreads were fuzzy and ridiculous. And no one in my city has this hairstyle well.....not many anyways dreads arent popular here.

So I was unique, in my city anyways and it was nice. To not be a follower.
And this is all just from 1 month.
But i'm kind indecisive and a little neurotic so it doesnt surprise that I spontaneously got rid of them and now miss them

But I guess I just made this thread clad with spelling errors typed quickly to remind all of you sexy dreaded beautys out there that even tho they get heavy and sometimes you want to mix things up and you've already done so much to them.
That in the end you'll probably miss them.
And there something to be proud of because it takes alot of patience to have dreads and work on them and take care of them.

So kudos to all of you that have yours and stick with them.

Maybe one day i'll give it another try :).

I think it's different for each person. I had mine for over a year and do not regret brushing them out at all. Not even a teeny weeny eensy bit. =)

If you're neurotic and indecisive, dreads probably aren't the way to go for you. Not being funny but dreads aren't really dreads after a year or more. If you don't have the patience now you probably never will.

I know, I even stated that they were baby dreads.
It wasn't about not having patience, I also said it was for a change.
And what an ignorant comment "if you don't have the patience now you probably never will"
Okay god, way to dictate my future.
Like no one ever adapts or improves in life they just stay in the same spot.

"Change"? I don't think there is much change to have in a month.

    Thanks for being patronising!

Ignorant or not. It's the truth. Some people are too indecisive to have a hairstyle which takes YEARS to form and they will never make a year. There are many people who keep repeatedly brushing out and restarting, fucking up their hair in the process. And WTF, I wasn't even dictating your life. I was telling you THE TRUTH about fucking dreadlocks which is DIFFERENT, to making a statement about your life. People's decisiveness on a hairstyle is DIFFERENT to people's decisiveness on their future.

I will give you an example, don't bitch and moan as it is just an example: People have the same hairstyle for twenty years and live a life that is contantly changing. There are also people who have a different hairstyle every few months and have a very monotonous life.

Hell what do I care? I'm not the one who can't hack a month and 15 or 16 days of matted hair. Oh and wanting a "change" after a month and 16 days is NOT "a change".

    ;)

hahah wow. wild flowers made a new account? and then got them mixed up? hahaha thats just funny.

and is anyone really surprised that she combed them out?

though she was 'in love' with them at the beginning... or at least obsessive about them :)

I disagree... People can change. A lot. Patience can be learnt.
