Hello everyone, my name is Brad, and I'm fairly new to Yoga. I am very excited to be part of this community to learn more about Yoga and meet other people. Namaste!
Im new too. My name is Chrissy, obviously. Im 15, yeah, I know. I'm a bit of a novice. lol. I'm from east Texas. I like the concepts of mind expandtion. So, yeah, peace.
Hey Brad, What kind of yoga are you practicing? I've recently fallen in love with yin yoga. The asanas are held for much longer than normal (3-5 minutes) and it really allows your body to access the denser tissues, ie ligaments and bones. During a hip opener yesterday I had a pretty intense emotional release, no tears or anything but I was close, and I have no idea what it was, but it felt good! It's amazing how yoga can access old stagnant energies from our past and release them and effectively evolve our consciousness. I really felt amazing last night and all today as a result. I wish you the best on your path. Check out my blog if you get a chance. Theo http://meditationmotivation.com/blog
thanks everyone for your warm welcoming to the community. I have started doing Hatha Yoga and so far enjoying it.
I am also a newbie and trying to figure out what to wear. I have checked out lulu lemon and was impressed. Also came across http://www.mikayogawear.com and really liked their stuff. Any suggestions? I mostly do bikram yoga. thanks! - Joe

I just wear Walmart (Don't flame, I'm broke and this is all that's close.) exercise gear: loose fitting trousers and snug tank tops, with an underwire bra for support. I have no idea what style of Yoga I've been doing for the last six weeks, just whatever the ladies at the gym will teach. I try to avoid Bikram myself, for ideological reasons. Apparently the creator is the Bill Gates of Yoga, suing anyone who teaches anything similar to what he does. Creepy dude. That and anything YogaWorks. They just scare me.
