plus, they've reverted back to using the old artwork, so you can't even tell it IS a new episode.. until one of the characters opens their stupid fucking mouth

I still enjoy the Simpsons...at least my kids can watch them. No Family Guy for them just yet.

I remember when some kids weren't allowed to watch the simpsons. Hell, I was almost not allowed to watch King of the Hill because it was drawn by the same cartoonists that drew beavis and butthead. I was like, "really? It's right wing bible belt propaganda, you should be trying to force me to watch it."

It's weird living with my mom where I was allowed to watch whatever I wanted to, and then at 12 years old moving to live with a lady who is all religious and old fashioned. She told me one time that she couldnt be in the same room if I (or anyone) else is watching football because it makes her feel "cold all over" because of the violence.

So imagine her surprise when I made her watch an episode of king of the hill and it was "wholesome", and not really based on the character who tries to prevent beavis and butthead from "whackin in muh camper"

this would have been in 1995/6. the actual simpsons controversy had even predated this

If you're gonna stop kids from watching something bad for them, make em stop watching TV.

They died well before season 10, though between season 7 and 10 it was very slow. The quality started to go down pretty early.

I agree. I can get sick of watching re-runs of Family Guy, but King of the Hill will never get old to me. It's classic.
