So Ive read this posted from several different sources today:

"2010 rainbow gathering will be "somewhere in the allegheny national
    > forest" (first consensus from spring council) ~ more counciling and
    > scouting continues.... "

"Family concensus at council...Pennsylvania...The Allegheny National Forest is the National!"

"spring council reached a consensus that "the 2010 rainbow gathering will be somewhere in the Allgehany National Forest".

............ So is this the final decision or is there a chance it will still change? Anyone else heard anything more yet?

I'm interpreting this as meaning that sc has not yet decided exactly where in the Allegheny NF they want the Gathering will be, but I'm gonna look up the location of the '86 site.

A circle of individuals gathering on the land in Pennsilvaina have reached an understanding through counsel and careful concideration, the 2010 Annual Rainbow Gathering of Living Light will be enjoined and celebrated July 1st through 7th somewhere in Pennsylvania in the Allegheny National Forest.
Scouting and Counsel continues - Site TBA!
The Rainbow Gathering of Living Light is a freeform celebration of Spirit and community that is open to all peaceful peoples and devoid from commercial interests. Location of the gathering site will be decided and announced sometime in the first next couple of days as there is still scouting and counselling scheduled through the first of the week (June 7/8/9).
All voices and hearts are humbley welcomed to share in the vibration of world peace.
"Get your tribe ready to join this awesome celebration. "

Is Burton Shaver still Chief of Police in Ridgeway? I think he liked us. This article, archived on Welcomehome.org, is by a MT journalist who was really good at his job.

I dont think he is still Police Chief. I couldnt find any hits on his name in the Database here:

    http://www.usacops.com/pa/p15853/index.html

But I did find a different Chief of Ridgway

This is a very spiritual area, I know brother and sisters will treat this area with respect. But i know these woods, Ive grown up in the woods, on a Native American rez just along the Allegheny river up in NY, My back yard is Allegheny state park, These woods, these rivers, are my home, The forest is beautiful, amazing, it will take your breath away. But many people have lived along the river, and shared the forest, many tribes, many people have died along the river, So please approach this place with a grate spiritual respect for the ancestors of the area. You will feel it the deeper you get into the forest.

Somedays you can walk into the forest, and you get the same feeling as if you just walked into a crowded room.

I dont believe in ghost, or anything supernatural

But i can say from first hand experience, you feel it,
the deeper you get into it,
    anyone can feel it.
    respect it.

I'm in Fargo, north dakota right now, just came from Seattle, before that Redding, CA

My money's a bit low right now, used a fair amount up on gas for my travels, but would definitely like to go to nationals, sometime toward the end of June (planning to work to get a little money meanwhile)

I've got an '84 Ram Charger, I travelled with 4 people and 2 dogs, believe it or not, from Redding to Seattle, although 1 or 2 people would be more comfortable

if anyone is around this part of the country who wants to go, let me know, we could split cost on gas or something, etc
