in proper dosage it is appropriate for anesthetic purposes. although they discontinued its use on humans pretty much because sometimes ppl would have these crazy trips if i am correct, and i may be wrong, most anesthetics are used in conjunction with other chemicals to induce the proper effects. so in theory if im right then those other chemicals might negate the trip part of K. im kinda jus guessing here though lol
its DPT. dipropyltryptamine. just look through the erowid vault, and the entry in TiHKAL (or the limited amount of it you can view for free online) its a close chemical relative to DMT.
HPPD is technically only caused by (serotonergic) hallucinogens, and ketamine is not one. It's a (NMDA-antagonist) dissociative. you don't actually 'hallucinate' like you do on lsd or mushrooms or dpt. it's different. it's much more akin to dreaming. if you're ever done DXM the high is identical to ketamine except for duration (ketamine is much shorter). Also this problem DID arise in the first world, doctors used to use ketamine all the time on patients but there were way too many reports of people coming out of surgery panicking and describing oobes. Since it's not good to be all sketched out post-surgery, now we use opiates and benzos and other things.
