The reports of those who have been there. I can see that your belief would not allow you to consider the question. So there is no reality then? You needn't apologize I understand you sentiments. Anxiety is a signal that something is wrong. What could possibly be wrong? Displeasure is not the same as anxiety. We become displeased from the examination of evidence, anxiety happens because of a lack of evidence, or incorrect interpretation of the evidence. Are you Johnny Cash, what is the line you are walking? As for need. We need to eat, we do not need to eat strawberries. It is this way I am speaking of need, not required.
I am thrilled by the honest seeking of the young people I find here. I am not here to chastise or be critical, but hopefully to be truly helpful. I feel for those who may be weary and heavy laden by their own life.
That's great that you try to help people. I also help people realize what their life, where they stand, who their true friends are, techniques of happiness. All these things that the majority of people have never even though about. I trip with new trippers and literally change their life for the better everytime. I do this to people because they deserve it. Why live a unhappy chaotic life when you could be at peace withh urself and friends and be happy. Stay high on LIFE cuz its BOMB
Well, to keep in the spirit of the discussion of belief, all we would truly have is the belief in the reports of those who have "been there". My beliefs are under constant scrutiny. Reality exists on a person by person basis, and thus cannot be sweepingly applicable. I think if you were able to suddenly jump into my shoes, or vice verse, the world would seem supremely alien. As stated previously, I attempt to walk the line between becoming so overwhelmed by intuitiveness that I become debilitated, and using it as a source of sensitivity towards myself and others. And as for need, it's easy to talk about what someone needs to DO, but I thought you were talking about what I need to BE.
I was referring to what would we hope to see from taking acid and that would be things relating to reports we have heard. We would not consider taking acid if it were not for it's proponents. Do you mean your beliefs under constant self scrutiny and amenable to change? We have a fundamental difference in our regards to reality. It seem to you that reality is a subjective affair. I find this to be true of perception but not of reality. Reality has properties that we can describe. It is non local, nor is it remote. What is not real does not exist. Reality has no antecedent. . Oh no, your being is established. We sometimes are not aware of our true state of being, we can be ambivalent about our feelings and our feelings can be misinformed of a situation.
To be honest I I basically learned myself and taking acid lol. I would tell my all my beliefs to my close friends (some of which don't fully understand or listen because its so far fetch) until I found the proof that showed me basically all my thoughts are right and make sense. I bought the book "Art of Happiness" which is written by a physicists who studies and met with the Dalai Lama for many years. It made very confident in myself because I was then reading the Dali Lama quote me, my thoughts, theories etc.
all texts which serve to dispel intellectual friction are fingers pointing to the moon. once you understand that the eyes should gaze upon the moon without shame or worry, the texts all ring true and harmonious as wide-spread notes in a chord of singular human awareness of what is
LSD has helped me with social anxiety, it taught me that there really is nothing to fear. This is from good trips and bad trips. The bad ones seem to help the most. eace::sifone:
If we so choose, but there is much in this place to keep us from not guilty. We shouldn't even have to make the choice out of any desperation, but if we are to assume the traits of peace we won't make the decisions into desperation.
What happens? People die. People skin their knees. People bump into each other. The wind blows and knocks down trees. The wind is not guilty for having the character of the wind, and the trees have not complained about the wind, being complete in their own character. If you remove the egocentric, homo centric characterization of energetic phenomena it is easy to see that all events are complimentary.
Well, this may be true, may be not true. Since you're a fan of science I might mention that physics has come to the disturbing conclusion that this conclusion is actually quite questionable. The problem of quantum entanglement can be summed up thus: Reality, Locality, and Causality... Choose 2. All 3 cannot be true. Causality is the notion that phenomena result from other phenomena, in a logical cause and effect sequence. Locality is the notion that phenomena cannot affect one another instantly at a distance. Reality is the axiom that the universe exists, objectively, apart from subjective experience. There are proponents for each being flawed, along with several 'hacks' that try to preserve all 3 with minimal success(they keep getting disproven). It would seem from much you've stated that you are in the 'Causality' camp. I find all 3 options to have possibility. There is no evidence that supports the -certainty- that the universe has an objective existence. We take it on faith that it does, because to think otherwise throws our entire societal worldview into question. But it's merely one axiom we have decided to believe in, most of us, most of the time. It's convenient and effective. That doesn't make it True.
I didn't say anything about quantum entanglement. I said nothing about cause. I said of location, non local nor remote. I also said reality has no opposite. There is no place that is more real than any other place. There is no unreal existence. There you go accusing me of things, you forgot to mention I am a fan of nail fungus. Reality is a thing, a fact. There is a possibility I could say something to you you have not yet considered, but at this point you would not recognize it. At least not immediately. I couldn't be farther from the causality camp. There are simply no results. Except for your own flesh and blood. I think that it is an active imagination that doubts it's own real existence. You suggest reality may not be real? I think that is nonsense.
