I am planning to make my second morning glory trip during summer solstice at night in the local forest. Has anyone tried tripping alone in the woods? How was it? I tripped in the daytime in the same forest and it was amazing. My worry is that I might get scared shitless, but it's something I REALLY wanna do.

I think it's an awesome idea. As long as you don't think about bugs, cause they'll be everywhere.

I got lost drunk in the woods. It's dark, funnily enough.

    And I mean, f0ckin' dark :D

Great idea, just bring some kind of light for when you drop stuff. One of the best places to trip:D

If you are a person that enjoys the woods alone at night sober, then it's probably fine. If you are likely to get scared out there, you might want to go with someone. Personally, I love doing this, but I know people who it would horrify. It's rather personal.

Oh, and, full moon nights are better than the dark of the moon.

When I saw the title, I was like, "yeah..."
Then I saw the alone part and started to think I might get scared.

I have tripped alone in a tiny wooded area that I grew up near many many years ago. It went well, but I knew the area really really well.

I guess if you don't like the woods, you can always leave.

I guess I'll just DO IT, because I can't stop thinking about it, I know the forest really well too, and I've been there at night already, sober. While it's certainly DARK, I am looking for a deeper experience. It might go wrong, it might be divine, we'll see.. I'll definitely report back once I've done it. :)

you should at least have some kind of backup plan. like maybe if you can walk home or have a friend pick you up if you start feeling anxious.

Yeah, I'll definitely think about it. To be honest my biggest worry is weather, I'd hate if it started raining. So I'll keep an eye on weather forecast too :)

Bring a camera too because some people claim "Faries wear boots" but have yet to catch them on film, I want to see if it's true or not.

It's true! I've seen 'em. Generally black stompy boots with bunches of buckles. Faerie folk have kept up with the times.

Right... I'm back from my TRIP, or should I say spiritual journey into death and space. I've never felt anything like this in my entire life, I had morning glories in the past but now I see that cold water extractions I did then were pretty useless, even though it seemed amazing at the time.
Now this was the real deal - I decided to grind up 600 seeds and down them with some yogurt. I went into the forest, in the evening and decided to wait for the nightfall. It took about 3 hours for the stuff to really kick in. And when it did... oh GOD. Majestic fractal eyes (if you've seen Alex Grey's artwork, you know what I'm talking about), combining into webs and spirals in the darkness, echoing sounds, pixelating sky, trees becoming alive, crawling vines and flowers, intense Mayan/Aztec artwork/patterns forming on my clothes and fingers. Suddenly I didn't want to sit in the forest and went to nearby grassy field where I had a feeling of something HUGE coming towards me. I was hallucinating heavily, I didn't know what time it was, where I was, or why. One thought kept echoing in a loop in my head - 'I HAD NO IDEA'. I sat under a tree so that I could stare into sky and by the time I was in another planet. Moon, though not fully full, multiplied into dozens of other moons and grassy surface was crawling under my feel and red, blue, yellow flowers growing and blossoming. And then there IT WAS.. call it whatever, drugs, being stoned, or Enlightenment. But the endless vast beauty of the night sky catapulted me into space. Time ceased to exist, thoughts echoed in a loop, fingers seemed to stick to each other and grow togheter. Fractals were all over - eyes, crosses and visions of hindu deities dancing in joy. What surprised me was this hindu theme - I saw blue Krishna faces, happy kids and women dancing and smiling, my eyes were so wide I forgot to blink. I saw lots of pop art - candies, clown faces, ice cream like in those american ads from the thirties or forties - exagerrated colors and distorted smiles, kind of like Mark Rydens lowbrow art. This is like 1% of how I really felt and what I really saw. But I guess if you've ever had full blown psychedelic experience, you've been there too.

As a side note: I can't believe that people take morning glories and report only nausea and vomiting. I had none of that, except of small nausea before visuals kicked in. Then you forget everything.
I guess here's my first hand advice - grind them up and EAT them, no silly water extractions or petroleum ether nonsense. EAT them, eat 600 of them and sit in nature and stare into the sky. You'll be FLOORED.

    Hare Krishna!

P.S. check out this artwork I found on the web - it VERY close to my visions http://eyeconartist.deviantart.com/art/Hindu-Goddess-82774834?q=&qo=
