where do you live? do you like it? is it a city, or a suburb, or out in the middle of nowhere? the city more and more makes me want to live out in the middle of nowhere. I'm moving to the woods asap, preferably with a lake nearby, or even in my backyard. my only requirement is I need to move somewhere with a wawa closeby. I am addicted to wawa and I'm pretty sure a lot of states don't have them!
wawa? whats that? I like places other than where I live, although I know that where I live isnt that bad.
i fuckin love where i live... like for a long time i hated it and just wanted to move, but now just thinking about leaving this part of the country makes me get this knee jerk fuck that reaction. i mean i live in a 2,000 people town just outside a town with 80,000... i spend almost all my time in the city but i love living in the woods/country/river valley. plus i live less then hour from wakarusa, harvest fest, and river jam (all 3 great jamband/electronic/bluegrass variety festivals), less then 6 hours from camp zoe, which is nice to have for underground sound and some schwagstocks... idk id like to move to co or the north east some day but for now im solid takin it easy in arkansas
i live in a medium-sized city, about 60,000 people. although i'm right near downtown, i have a huge yard that's totally secluded. plus, there's lots of green space that's only within a couple of miles where you're still within the city, but completely in the woods or by a river. so i can be in the heart of the city, but completely alone so my dog can run off-leash and i'm almost guaranteed to not see another person. there's also a great music scene here, along with lots of other cultural things. so i do like it. even if i want to get out in the middle of nowhere, it really doesnt take long to get there. i do see the benefits of living in the middle of nowhere, but then again, you ARE in the middle of nowhere in case something happens or if you need to get somewhere. it is really nice that everywhere i need to go for where i work, volunteer, and hangout is all within less than a mile away. i walk and bike most of the time. cant beat that!
I'm in a small town that is a very short drive away from a decently sized city and a very short drive away from the bush
I live waaay on the outskirts of a small town in southwestern, Pa. The town itself only has about 10,000 people in it, and I live outside of town in the woods! I only have like 2 neighbors or so.. I loooooove living in the middle of nowhere. I couldn't possibly live in a city EVER.
I live in a city of around 125-130k with another 20k in surrounding areas close-by. The town is pretty well spread out, though it is certainly still segregated, this time just by income level. As long as you stay in the north side of my town to live it is AWESOME, though you can also easily live in one of the small towns 20 minutes outside of here and still take advantage of our schools and hospitals in many occasions, while still getting cheaper taxes. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING about my city is that housing is super cheap. You're all good for getting a job as long as you are able to work all the time as people around here don't like to hire people for 2-3 months aka summer jobs, unlike many other places. Another nice thing is that my city, though not being the biggest, is within close range of Madison and Chicago. Albeit Illinois is a very corrupt state, however, as long as you're not trying to get into politics here you'll be fine. DRUGS are some of the cheapest in the country and widely available, as well as I live in a valley which allows us to miss much of the weather problems other areas in the midwest experience. A tornado hasn't actually hit our town in over 20 years, though the surrounding areas get ones occasionally. Unsure on your exact age, but we have many cheap higher education opportunities within the city as well as not very far away. We are also just one step away from finally being added to the list of medical marijuana states. Plus Winter here is real fun, drunken sledding at one of the NUMEROUS local parks. We also have many state parks and a few frolf courses. Your past this age, but if you chose this as your home for many a years and planned on having children we have A SHITLOAD of sporting equipment and facilities. I don't know too many kids here that weren't involved with some sort of outdoor activity in their earlier childhood. Plus I'm here, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I live in Iron Mountain Michigan, U.P. it's a small town, very cold in the winter. I love being back home
that looks pretty good. We have Panera bread and chipotle and quiznos and penn station here. those are all pretty good.
Yeah forgot to say, no wawa here, but we have a locally owned business called Panino's and it's all the sandwich you'd ever need. Especially the Panizza, basically a pizza sandwich on the best bread ever.
some of them are alright but not as good as what you guys are talking about I seriously had no idea what you guys were talking about..to me a wawa is a town http://www.wawa.cc/
I live in Chicoutimi, Quebec right now with about a 7 min walk to the university. It's a tri-city area in the Saguenay municipality that has about 150,000 people. This city is very small, but big enough to spend time at a few decent malls. It looks something like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4b/Chicoutimipano.jpg I really love it here. The region is nicknamed 'The Kingdom' because the landscape is godly. Lots of beautiful nature all around. Google image 'Saguenay' if you're interested. I went to a cottage a couple days ago and watched a beaver builds its home. This weekend I'm going camping in the bush, and hopefully I won't see any bears. The city life is where I have to be for the moment to do my work, but as soon as I get a house and start looking, it will be on the outskirts of the city.
I always think of the town too. I know it because of bad late night CBC summer movies. :coffee: Gotta love basic Canadian cable.
i live in the bible belt of the USA. Arkansas. I hate it. This place is where all the old rich christian republicans come to retire and die. They bring everything else down with them.
