Sorry Odon - but you persist in looking at only the side of the events - those that have been confirmed by the Israel's. As I am a "tool" of the left, you are a tool of the right - an Israeli apologist if you will. If you are to be a truth seeker you need to take about 2 more steps back to get the bigger picture.
"One could argue they (Hamas & Israel) are both as bad as each other" Interesting line of thought odon.
http://incogman.wordpress.com/2010/06/08/the-american-ship-they-justcouldnt-sink/ << "Torpedo damage (probably US made) from Israeli torpedo boats. Looks a lot like what happened to the USS Cole after a terrorist attack in Yemen that killed 17 US sailors. The USS Liberty lost 25 sailors and communications analysts from this one torpedo explosion alone and only by fluke did the ship not break apart and sink; more than likely taking all the American sailors with them (Israel knew that dead men tell no tales). 34 lives were lost in total and about 172 wounded, some terribly." >>
Re: Israel's insatiable appetite for human blood. "Hamas" was created by Israel, and so was "Al Qaeda." Hamas and Al Qaeda are phony to the max ... YES THEY ARE PHONY PHONY PHONY ... and they represent only two (2) out of many possible "false fronts" that were created by the state of Israel, and which are intended to aid in the creation of wars. Hamas and Al Qaeda are thinly-veiled excuses for engaging in the wholesale massacre of mostly unarmed civilian populations; both were concocted by the state of Israel, and both are constantly strutted out by the state of Israel (or by its lackeys in the US government) whenever it sets out to justify the holy commandments of the Old Testament. Mass murder is positively COMMANDED by the rabbis who are overseeing the Jewish tradition, but it's also a tricky business in some ways. Israel has to be careful, it has to make sure that it can justify its actions. Israel has to pay at least SOME attention to what's going on in the court of world opinion. It cannot ignore world opinion without risking an attack against itself by an outraged world community. Israel isn't going to kill you unless it can spin a plausible excuse for doing so. Israel is going to accuse you of being a "terrorist" before it kills you and your family.
BigCityHillbilly: Get real. Israel has plenty of enemies without creating any. Take your conspiracy theories somewhere else. Meanwhile, Turkey is not amused at the murder of its citizens, and is in the process of shelving deals to supply Israel with energy supplies and fresh water. Israel understands being hit in the wallet. It doesn't understand international cooperation. Israelis must feel very lonely, having hardly a friend left anywhere in the world.
Israel has no real enemies that are capable of doing it any real damage, with the possible exception of Pakistan, but the current US administration - which is heavily infiltrated by Israeli military intelligence - is currently working on making "toast" out of Pakistan. USA-WALOMA (which stands for "With at least One Mossad Agent in the White House") is currently launching barrage after barrage of 'predator drones' into that country, and has been undertaking this sort of action ever since the new president ("O'Bomber" or "The Bomber") was sworn into office. USA-WALOMA may also be involved in an effort to destabilize Pakistan by other means, such as by planting bombs in mosques and in crowded marketplaces, and with a typically high casualty rate. Iraq used to be an enemy of Israel, but the threat that Iraq may have once posed to Israel has now been totally and completely neutralized .... thanks in no small measure to the complete and utter stupidity of flag-waving US Americanos, of the kind who rushed off to Iraq - both prior to - and subsequent to - the 9-11 "false flag" attacks, and who - for many many years - were involved in the wholesale slaughter of the Iraqi army and the Iraqi civilian population. But of course there was never any conspiracy here, even though the US government was literally top-heavy with zionists during that entire period of US history ! I can pull out an old Reuters news release which states that Hamas was initially funded by the state of Israel. Israel doesn't even recognize "goyim" as human beings. It doesn't want the friendship of non-Jews.
Veteran journalist retires after Israel remarks Helen Thomas, 89, long considered dean of White House press corps http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news...-retires-after-israel-remarks/article1595025/ Veteran White House journalist Helen Thomas, who has covered every U.S. president since John F. Kennedy, abruptly retired on Monday amid a storm of criticism over her controversial remarks about Israel. The departure of Ms. Thomas, 89, as a Hearst Newspapers columnist was announced after she was captured on video saying Israelis should “get the hell out of Palestine” and suggesting they go “home” to Germany, Poland or the United States. ...I couldn't agree more. Rock on Helen Thomas, long may you live. Fuck the clowns!!! ZW
I thought I was looking at both sides. I've deffinitly mentioned both sides. I think I have been fair and mentioned most possible angles...with out being partisan about it. No, I have not blindly said Israel are the wrong-doers here and the people on board are all peaceful people just wishing to give aide, who have been unjustly treated etc (because we do not know that is 100% true)... But so what? That makes me an apologist? Wow...that doesn't seem fair.
Go on then, pull out a Reuters news article that states "Hamas and Al-Quaeda were CREATED by Israel." I don't mean: "Hamas was once partly funded by Israel" Like this: http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Alt/alt.religion.christian/2007-06/msg00164.html I mean find a Reuters press release that states: "Hamas and Al-Quaeda were CREATED by Israel." (they can be seperate articles if you like) Well that's convinced me.
Come on man.. it's well known that Israel created Hamas as an opposition to the PLO. You don't have to be anti-semitic to acknowledge that. Do some research and stop reading just right-wing press.
odon: I would agree with many of your points if what was being mediated was just a dispute between school yard bullies over a lolly pop that got a little out of hand. Rather nine persons were killed on the high sees and many more injured. Most fair minded, unbiased persons would I think presume that some sort of criminal investigation would be warranted with the accused held, pending some sort of official process of justice as would seem appropriate. I certainly resent the way Israel and Israelis are used by the west in its attempt to maintain a favorable balance of forces in the near East. A front line against its many irruptions and disruptions, and a potential bulwark against Arab or Persian ambitions. One should not doubt the power of the any of these forces as they been amply demonstrated in the past.
Arab and Persian ambitions ? It isn't very likely that the full extent of those "ambitions" goes too far beyond the simple WILL TO SURVIVE in the face of a relentless onslaught against them, which is being led and directed by the genocidal minions of zionist Israel.
http://theuglytruth.podbean.com/2010/06/08/the-ugly-truth-podcast-june-9-2010/ << "Dr. Alan Sabrosky joins the show along with USS LIBERTY survivor Phil Tourney to discuss the Israeli massacre of the Gaza Flotilla and its ramifications." >>
Are you referring to the occupation. Yes I would agree it is brutal. Well the Iranian regime knows a thing or two about conducting repression against its own people.
Sorry - I was not clear enough - how does Iran relate to the Israeli blockade or boarding of the aide ships? Are you in some way equating Iran with Israel?
I did some research. I was confident enough to throw down the gauntlet. If that was unwise, please do direct me to some credible information that I could work from instead. Thanks. That's being quite unfair to this situation. I know you can add other issues and prejudices to this situation, but I was really trying to just contain it to what occured that day...and that is all. Yes I would. I did boil it down to that fact earlier I think. Who would be the accused, though (discounting the dead, obviously)?
the Israeli government is the aggressor. I think both regimes are horrid Ddor. I think you can answer the first question yourself.
