title says it all. cant find any hint of this being a way of use. I got myself some extract and its a wax/tar and I want to know if I can smoke it?
in thailand, the plantstuff is extracted into a smokable tar called "mambog" i dunno if it is a water-based extraction (prolly), or some other solvent (like ethanol), & then dried to a goo...) (i tried a home-made ethanolic extract of purported foliage of Mitragyna speciosa like 15 - 20 years ago & wasn't impressed; maybe it is time to obtain some "bona fide" foliage & try again...)
well I'm starting to think that its not something one can smoke. according to alot of things I've read, when making a tea your not to use water that is boiling hot because near that temperature is where the kratom's chemicals start to break down. I've read that in several places too, so somewhere near 100*C the chemicals are broken down, and I know burning it would make it alot hotter than 100*C BTW the resin that I have, is a cold water based extraction, sounds the same as what you mentioned.
According to some sources on erowid, smoking kratom is possible, but I theorize that smoking it would be a waste of time ... it'd be too hard to get enough of the active ingredient into your body, even if you smoked rabidly for an extended period of time (considering half an ounce is a medium dosage for the tea). I may be wrong, but I'm certainly not about to go and smoke it meself. =P
