Well, the title is pretty self-explanatory... My favourite club is this really cool place called Funky Buddha Lounge. It's quite small, but the vibe there is just awesome. Favourite bar would probably be either Mash Tun or Alicats. Can't decide between those two...
i am not near enough to any that are cool. all located around me are meat markets and that is definately not my thing.
The place I go to the most is called Shades, they have an alternative night on thursday; I suppose it's not all that good, but they sometimes play half-decent music and the drinks are really cheap. My favourite place is probably the Red Lion in Trimdon, I go up there once a month with my guitar for the folk club.
Night Club Higher Ground - opening up on December 2nd. The old one was fantastic and the new one will be even better. I know of no night club in New England that serves up better live music than there. Bar Ladies invited Saloon in Stowe, Vermont. Real small place and just a great hang out.
Club - "El diabliyo" rock & roll almost all nigth, its kinda small, but really cool. Bar - "Henry J. Beans" nice place, nice music, beautiful girls
Ya know, I'm more of a bar long jumper nowadays. I've been to one exactly once in the last six weeks. But I will be at Higher Ground for when it opens next Tuesday. My brother is coming up and we're going to see Hot Tuna.
oh yeah. you were telling me about that. i wish i had chill spots to go to around here. i have to go about an hour or more to get to somewhere i would feel comfy, then i wouldnt be able to drive, so whats the use/
It has everything you could want in a metropolis, only wrapped in a small package. If you're a live music fan, there is no place outside of NYC on the east coast that is a better place to live than Burlington.
I´m not loyal to many clubs around here for many of the reasons Marie said..... I´m more into seeing live bands than going to a regular bar, the one I go to most often is called Skully´s but I´m not saying its my favorite. I generally just go to see the music I want. Some people I know own one called Bourbon Street which is a decent dive bar with bands. My favorite times going out have probably been in NY, Barcelona, and San Francisco..and Athens, Ohio as dhs will attest to ,)
There are so many awesome places in Barcelona. Have you been to L'Ovella Negra? A lovely tavern type of bar near La Rambla. And also La Paloma is so nice. They have (well, used to have anyway...) bongo nights there. Ahh... fun times.
I have no clue the names of the places I went to there....probably my favorite was this place on a very narrow street in La Raval which is neat La Ramblas...no sign, closed door, and someone had to ring a bell to get in, once inside it was really interesting and decorated in a cool way...it was like a secret, and it felt really warm, like an opium den or something
about the only place we hang out regularly is called bellbottoms bar and grill. it's a fun place. it's nearly an hour away too though, which sucks. we live in a dry county, so there aren't any bars locally.
