Right I'm getting bored of my dreads smelling like carpet (lol) so I was wondering if anyone had a recipe for some nice smelling shit to put in. Like lavander oil etc... I wash them once a week but they're quite fat and they take ages to dry which takes me to step one again. So any help would be cool. Cheers guys
just get yer faavoite smelling essential oil and put in on yer scalp, and or just spray yer cologne on yer hair lol
mmm, i just washed mine with essential oil and some cleansing stuff... and they smell soooo nice. How about putting some of the oils into one of those spray guns with some water and squirting it on your head in the morning or something?
I use Karma perfume by Lush. Scent is neither masculine nor feminine, 3 sprays of that in my hair and it lasts about 3 days. So yeah use cologne or some shit. Wouldn't try Oust! though.
I wash mine with Faith in Nature shampoos as they leave no residue and smell so pretty, also once a month I'll wash them in lemon juice to aid their frizz ^_^ this makes them smell pretty too hehe
mmmmmmm yum, HDH, i used to wear lush's karma perfume all the time i wear oils from www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com for perfumes, and use those in my hair as well.... often i get complimented on the smell after i've given someone a hug or something
hmmm depends on my mood/the weather a lot! at the moment i've been wearing Mme. Moriarty, Misfortune Teller from the Carnivale Diabolique series, which is a really deep, incensy, scent and also Menacing Ionospheric Research Instrument which is in the Limited Edition Section, in the Black Helicopter series - that scent is a really light, clean, almost metallic smelling scent <3 the easiest way to get started with BPAL is the search engine, i find.... ie, if you know you like the smell of sandalwood a lot, search sandalwood and you'll see a list of every oil they make that contains that ingredient
I love black phoenix alchemy lab!!!! my fav so far is blood kiss. smells rather sweet. I have not put it in my hair yet but will try it. I do use tea tree oil but it doesn't smell nice.
yummmmm! all the dragon's blood scents are gorgeous... blood amber was a favorite of mine for a long time i just washed my hair and rubbed my dreads with 'twinkle twinkle little bat' ("A sparkly, batty little scent: green tea, melon, mint, lime rind, and champagne grape with lemon balm, mullein, and toadflax.") i smell like fruit salad...nomnom!
ooo this website is soo exciting, ace recommendation Phoenix - you ought to get commission or something lol!!
I didn't notice before but that place sells sample sizes, not of all the different scents but most of them. I will try that sometimes soon.
Yeah that website looks pretty crazy lol! So what do I do just mix with water and spray? That's pretty much what I was gonna do anyway but I might add some salt and maybe lemon (depending on the smell of the oil) And that's a good question, Has anyone tried fabreeze?
no but it's got loads of chemicals in that surely can't be good for your locks, I reckon just wash them in some lemon juice instead
In Australia, Fabreeze Is Marketed As An Air Freshener, Who In Their Right Mind Would Spray Their Locks With That Crap...... If You Have A Problem With Odour, The Answer Is Simple, Give Them A Deep Cleanse Every So Often... Problem Solved.... Cheers Glen.
Yeah I thought that as soon as I posted it. I'll check the ingredients. I clean mine once a week but they're fat and they take literally a day to dry. It's gettiing tedious now lol
A lot of commercial cleaning products don't even list the ingredients to the full they are just terrible for everyone, shouldn't use them in your house or your hair.
Yeah I now my mum makes cosmetics and she's always going on about how bad things are for you. I brought some face wash and she was like " you know it's got sodiumbenzinite in it" lol
