I heard a woman say "aye, metch" - what does it mean?

I don't know how it is spelled, but it sounds like "Metch". similar sounding to "Fetch"

    What does "Aye, metch" mean?

Are you sure she was portuguese? If she was, she might have said "mecht" and you got it wrong. "Mecht", spelled correctly by "mexe-te" means move on, step aside or move faster. It depends on where she said it and how she said it.

    Mecht :smilielol5:

Btw, it might have been "aye, metch" as for "metes", which means "stick it in".
