and wind them up and put them in the river, till they are gone. Seems like a perfectly good waste of a few dollars, when im high..
Once we made a raft out of pallets, barrels, a broken body board and some styrofoam and put an old mattress on it then spent the day trying to have wrestling matches floating around in 4 foot waves It survived for a few hours actually which we didnt expect. It was gradually falling to bits throughout the whole time though In the end when it was nearly completely broken we let the tide take it.
I put a trashcan lid upside down in the river with some sticks in it and floated it down the river once. It went for ever
the toy section in big lots has alot of these windup boat, ranging from $2 to $7.99, I see them in rite aid too more money little better quality.. be with my girl and she like "do you want anything?" 'Can I get a boat?' "that what you want, you dont want something to drink?" "no, boats cool".. take walk to river i toss in the boat and it gone. then shes like "thats it??" yeap.. and im like a little kid all giggling "look look look" . then she says "youre a goof ball"...
not that I can see, mostly this is along the ohio river. they go pretty far til out of sight.. They are pretty good swimming pool toys.
i find alot of rubber ducks along the river banks too, lol. I have 4 decent ones and a funny hard plastic one. I have never found a wind up boat / but found a windup penguin on the washups..
sounds fun i was at the seaside yesterday, Howth, it was lovely looking at the small boats and some ships. we went up the hill of Howth looking across the sea, i just wanted to stay we had a good toke best ever looking at the water and the sound of the sea was peacefully.
