2ct2: Dark thoughts and twisted auditory hallucinations

This trip report accounts for 2 separate experiences, 1 approx 50 mgs oral and one about 10 mgs insuffalated. I had one 20 mg oral experience with this compound previous to these experiences which was somewhat uneventful.

Dark Thoughts and Cosmic Closed Eye Visauls (Oral)

When ingesting the 50 mg oral dose I was initially gripped with a feeling of trepidation with what I had just done, as I knew this was going to be an intense experience and that 2ct2 can cause a fair amount of nausea from what I've read. Within 30 minutes I was already feeling effects which was about 45 minutes earlier than my previous 20mg experience. The initial signs were a slight 'stoned' feeling and heaviness in the stomach. The first hallucination came on rapidly after the come up which consisted of a spider formation climbing up the bumps of my wall. It already felt quite a bit heavier than the previous experience and I chose not to move around all that much. There was a lot of white after imaging in objects I looked at some even had a slightly pinkish tint. Things didn't seem to be morphing or distorted much though objects appeared as I normally perceived them, some images appeared with eyes open that were not actually present in the room though but they were faint like the after images. With eyes closed I was completely immersed in a sea of patterns and lines that were very reminiscent of mescaline and mainly white and blues are hues stand out in my mind, except they were moving at a faster pace and more cold and alien than mescaline. My thoughts tended toward the dark and cosmic especially when I put on 'Vicarious' by Tool, I had different thoughts centering around the evils and lack of care of humans toward each other, and the world in general. Especially since I had some troublesome moments earlier in the week I felt like I was on a chain of negativity that just kept on getting passed on for the past week and I was certainly not exempt from this chain either. Grotesque images and thoughts entered my mind and I didn't try to fight them or embrace them I just let them play out. At about 3 hours in I turned the lights off and the blue and red glowing lights from some of my electronic equipment vibrated with some auras around them. This was really the first time with eyes open where colors really looked altered, with the lights on 2ct2 is probably the least colorful hallucinogen i've experienced. The rest of the night things kinda slowed down and I still maintained an otherworldly cosmic sense but it was not quite as random and heavy as earlier in the evening. The experience lasted a full 6 hours which is a really good time frame for this dose.

Stimulanting and Auditory (Insuffalation)

My second experience came the following week. I decided to go with a insufflated dose based on some recommendations of it's intensity and effectiveness. Again this was a solo trip as I could maybe do this substance with 1 or 2 other people max but it's lack of euphoria and cold chemical character does not make it terribly appealing for recreational use. I lined up about 10 mgs eyeballed and split it into 2 piles, one for each nostril. I was surprised that this chemical had no burn to it. A few minutes passed and I felt a rush of stimulation, my eyes felt pryed wide open. I started to get a little bit of a burn that made me feel like I may puke for a bit but it subsided within a few minutes. My room got very 'soupy' looking as the ceiling was moving around and looked as if I were to go up and try to touch it with my finger I would pierce through it like it was water. I felt like at any moment my reality could burst into some sort of hallucinogenic 'freeway' of fast moving shapes and colors. This reminded me quite a bit of LSD in a sense and once again I was getting significant whiteish-pink after images. I went out to the kitchen to look at a plant right outside and it looked transformed fairly dramatically with kind of an evil vibe emanating from it. The size was slightly distorted and the colors were not at all vibrant from it, quite foreboding in fact. I decided instead of going outside I was going to retire to my room for the night and explore this strange hallucinogen some more in the confines of comfort.

I went to lie down and usually I enjoy music on hallucinogens and the few songs I did play on 2ct2 on both occasions sounded really good but my mental state was one of just wanting to be in quiet and listening to my mind and thoughts. I closed my eyes like the previous experience and this time something really strange happened which I experienced for a fleeting moment on my 20mg experiment but not even experience on the previous 50 mg dose. I started getting auditory hallucinations. They are quite unique and different than anything i've encountered on any other 2c-x's and they were stronger than the auditory hallucinations i had on 5 grams of mushrooms. They were mostly composed of tones and even fairly musical I would say in an ambient type sense. When I came off I tried to make sense of what this effect is and I'm curious as if it's some sort of synesthesia. With LSD and 2ce I've had synesthesia but I could kind of see/feel the senses that were being crossed like 'hearing colors' or 'seeing music' for example, I simply have no clue what these tones from 2ct2 were trying to compensate for or convey. A very interesting and unique effect though. When I opened my eyes once more my room was still 'soupy' but slowing down a bit, I noticed a sweatshirt of mine looked like a soft fluffy rabbit, not that it had any rabbit characteristics it just looked that soft and fluffy. I was really itching to play the guitar as I just mastered 'Spoonman' by Soundgarden earlier in the day but it was late and I didn't want to be rude to the roommates and neighbors. I listened to some music and turned the lights off and again there was sort of that glow of 2ct2 towards the end which makes it feel like there could be some recreational quality if you were to flip on something towards the end of the experience but the first couple hours of this stuff is pretty strong.

 

Good shit... I always like the way you explain your hallucinations and experiences... sounds like a promising compound for sure.

DO it, I would enjoy to hear an in depth report on DPT, it's one of those i'm kind of on the fence right now in regards to experimenting with.

very nice report man. I think after reading that insufflation is the way to go with t2 for me. it sounds sort of like mescaline with some tryptamine depth added to it. very interested again indeed.
auditory hallucinations have intruigued me since I first read about DiPt. it doesn't sound like t2 is near as obvious but it is still another interesting point about the chemical. this one sounds much different than t7, it makes me wonder what t4 is like in comparison to both t7 and t2?

mescaline with tryptamine depth is a very good assessment. I forgot to mention with insuffalation the peak is probabably about 2 - 2 1/2 hrs and probably about a 4-5 hr. Experience overall, so a definite shorter peak and a slightly shorter experience.

 

No my vision is not fucked up from these doses. I have some slight visual disturbances from a culmination of experiences but vision is probably my most efficient sense.

 

Sounds like it has a lot of the depth I love from 2ce. Great, you've helped add another to my list of 'things I must try'. Jerk.

 

Thanks, I mainly submit reports to here and bluelight. The authorization and reviewing process of submitting erowid trip reports frustrates me. I think I've sent 2 or 3 before and have yet to see a single one on there. There are also some capabilities on this site like including pictures, music, links, etc. That make me prefer writing them here.

Haha. Dose it pretty high to start off unless you're worried about any physical issues, its not terribly remarkable at 20 mgs oral.

when i tried t2 i had almost no effects, and thought "lame" i guess i just gotta try the right dose one day.

gooooood TR... but it didn't burn at ALL when you snorted it? are you sure its 2ct2?

all the 2c-x's I've snorted make my nose feel like its been lit on fire, with the drip being even worse.

 

Lol I'm sure sure. Like I said I tried It orally first and I tried a different batch once before that. Its very distinct from 2ci and 2ce. I also said there was some burn for a short while but no initial burn. It wasnt like as smooth as coke but ive also snorted 4 Meo PCP (ouch!!!) and I don't even think as bad as ecstasy or the worst ketamine ive had. But yah its a very distinct high to me.

 

i ate like 26-28mg and felt a little gassy in my stomach, some of the blind in the house looked like they were gonna move a tiny tiny bit but that was the peak of it. other than i that nothing happened, so i just smoked.

nice report though! i never got much from 2c-t-2 aside from bizarre mild discosciative effects.. i've always wondered about the purity of the available batches, as the potency difference between shulgin's batches and the available batches seems to be very strong.

not much in the way of visions from my few small dose experiments, and i kind of wrote it off, but these higher doses make me a bit more interested in trying a higher dose. 12mg oral was actually a "nice" mild high with some pot, but nothing to write home about.
