This epic rock band from Brooklyn, NY - citing such influences as The Cure, The Killers, and David Bowie - are a force to be reckoned with. Their single "Take Me Out" is going to be huge, get there while you can still say 'I knew them when...'

    From their Myspace bio:
"Atomic Tom’s journey really began back in 2007, when four guys met at a crossroads – a place they’d each arrived with their individual instruments and talents, seeking allies in pursuit of a bigger sound. Those four guys were Luke White (Vocals/Guitar), Eric Espiritu (Vocals/Lead Guitar), Phil Galitzine (Bass) and Tobias Smith (Drums). White, who has been the front man for AT, believes a mutual love and respect for music brought the band together, “If we had just wanted to make a name for ourselves and get famous, we wouldn’t have come together the way we did. What we’re pursuing is more like a musical legacy, and we’ve learned that with each other, that legacy is much stronger.”
To even call White a front man might be a misnomer – it’s much more tied to the attention he demands when he takes center stage. But the band speaks of themselves almost as a musical collective. Espiritu offers, “Writing is a collaborative process, and that often allows a sound to grow more organically. “ Listening to some of Atomic Tom’s veteran tracks like “Take Me Out” and “You Always Get What You Want” have orchestral sized sound with a deep pop rock footing. But early listenings to songs from their upcoming debut album like “We Were Never Meant to Be” and “The Moment”

have a level of lyrical and musical depth that suggest real growth from the band and offer the listener a new reason to listen again and again."

You know, every time someone posts a link to some 'up and coming band' and rave reviews about them, I always tend to suspect that it's actually one of the band members promoting themselves... especially when their post count here totals 5.

Maybe this isn't the case, but I just don't think it's all that cool to come onto another site where you don't really care about anyone or anything on it, and pretend to be a fan of your own band in order to make other people pay attention.

There are SOOOOO many bands out there that promote themselves by basically spamming websites... but geez, at least be honest and tell people who you really are.

I guess if you really are a fan of the band, then that's cool but if you're in the band itself then it's really really not.

After listening to the band, I've decided that they probably don't promote themselves by spamming websites. They've got too nice equipment for that.

But they're not a very interesting band... their influences are reeeeaaalllly predictable-- seriously, how many New York bands are NOT influenced by David Bowie and The Cure? And Franz Ferdinand came out it what....2002??? And we're still supposed to believe that guys like this aren't dying to become the Nickelback to their Pearl Jam...
