People dont be scared that when things are claimed to be of the devil..the truth will hurt,but god wants you to be strong spiritualy and use these thruths to help you find jesus..the mediator between us humans and god...satan is at war with our spirit and he especialy and easily infiltrates and attacks weak spirited christians,whos spirits are blinded by the bodies constant want of materielastic and sinful earthly pleasures...i proudley tell you jesus is the only way to heaven...not allah of the quraan or mary of the catholics...neither jah or even budah..jesus my beloved bretheren...jesus..

And I agree our culture is toxic; as you say, the emphasis on materialism, power and sex is everywhere and can be corrupting. I'll pray that you don't fall into another trap that's all around us--toxic faith syndrome. I think folks who stir up fear and anger, whether the political stuff on FOX news and talk radio or the televangelists like Pat Robertson, are spreading a mind-crippling disease that can easily infect people like us if we aren't on our toes. I appreciate Okies' good heart and I pray that !Weed-Head!, as a Christian is not mislead by all the judgment and damnation that his message focuses on. Pointing a finger at someone and judging them had never saved a soul, the response invariably is "why look at the speck in my eye - look at the beam in yours". Making someone aware of the wages of sin is far different that trying to beat them into submission with the bible - using threats, pronouncing judgment and demeaning them and their beliefs, very few will respond to Gods call.
People judge Christ by the people who claim to be His. I fear most of what !Weed-Head! champions conveys a very poor likeness of who Jesus is.
My prayer would be that !Weed-Head! would take his enthusiasm and try to show people Christ and not tell people their sins.

If you judge, you will feel as if you are judged even though you may not be in fact judged. Whenever you feel judged it is because you have first judged. The measure you give is the measure you get. I am waiting for your insights.

 

Weed-Head has said nothing wrong, keeping in mind this is Sanctuary. He has been attacked for no reason. Pointing out that people have been deceived and are living in sin is not necessarily judgmental, and his responses to the accusations against him are not so bad.

Sure his spelling and grammar could use some work to make his posts more readable, but that's the only (minor) issue I have with any of his posts. The rest of you ganged up on him in a quite unpleasant fashion.

P.S. Weed-Head hang around if you're still here, don't leave.

 

If one person posts a comment or question, that's not a gang-up. To be a gang-up a 'gang' would have to be involved, acting in unison. If several people post individual questions or comments, as individuals, this doesn't make them related in any way. There is no gang.

If you want to post in a forum and take others to task in doing so, calling them false, anti-Christs and satanists, you have to be willing to get responses. Nut up or shut up.

 

I accept your definition of ganging up. What I meant to say is that most everyone in this thread attacked the OP and I thought it wasn't warranted.
As well, sometimes when one sees the posts before him it influences his own words, so I'm not entirely sure that there wasn't indeed a ganging up of sorts taking place.

I didn't see Weed-Head name calling anyone in particular until he himself was under attack by clear non Christians in Sanctuary. Also, if you have "666" in your alias then you probably should be able to handle being called a Satanist.

Look, I don't feel like going back and quoting every piece in sequence. I checked for myself though and nothing Weed-Head said is so unreasonable as to be called a troll or the like at all. Instead of commenting on a few interesting things that came up on this thread (like the trustworthiness of KJV) most posters decided to deride the OP instead.

 

A guy with "666" in his alias was attacking a Christian poster on a Christian forum with a Christian topic. If you don't think that is going to get a response I have nothing more to say frankly. I'm not saying it's a big deal actually, I think you are all making a big deal out of Weed-Head's posts which have nothing illegitimate or unacceptable in them.

as for being called a satanist and, being a cry baby about it... i've been called far, far, far, worst by so called "true christians." i have even had several of those "true christians" beat the living shit out of me because, they said things like: "your no child of god, your the spawn of satan!" "god hates you and wants you dead! "jesue will cast you into the ever buring lake of fire!" and so forth.
that is the type of "christian" bullshit i heard everyday in school here in the so called "bible belt" in the u.s.a.
who in the fuck would love god, juese or, anything christian after being treated and told your shit day in and day out? the answer is no one would.

if it had not been, for some people who really do live the christian message, helping to pull me up out of that so call "christian" shit i had beaten into me as, those sick shit so called "christians" said they had done "for my own good to save my soul from hell." i would be hating everything and everyone christian today. they help me drain the poison those "true christians" instilled into me. i still have the scares yet, i don't hate christians. i just get sick with so called "true christians."

most of the churchs' members are goths and punks. the church is open to everyone whom is an outcast from mainstrem culture. that means there are members of the church who are hippies too.
quite a few of the members of the church have 666 tattoo on themselves.

I used to have a policy that I would never use the word "fundamentalist" unless I prefixed it with the word "damned." I thought it was kind of ironically humorous, and as one who formerly gave lip service to fundamentalist doctrines, I figured I had earned the right. However I have since changed my policy to, at the very least, take into account who my audience is.
