This is David (Thankfull) I've got a 1977 Ford B600 with a 1975 390 engine in it.... We've had all sorts of problems along the way, but spirit has provided and we've gone far.... right now we're in cleveland, working on getting home. We're having carborator problems, and may need a new one, or an adjustment... if you know anyone between here and the gathering that could help us out with a new(used) 4barrel holley carborator, or who could help get the one we have working right, we'd really appretiate. We have kitchen gear, and some food, and the plan is to run a main circle kitchen at the gathering this year, but we ought to be there pretty soon if we're gonna do that...

if you have any ideas, please call or text 6167178026

I never try to fix carbs myself. I take them off and reinstall them no problem. If possible take it off and take it to a carb shop. They might be able to fix it cheap or rebuild it for a fair price. You should not have to buy a new one. Also check out carburetor sites for trouble shooting hints.

    please help us...

I'm getting ready to tow it somewhere nearby untill after the gathering... if you know a spot to put it for a month, message back!!!

In other news, all but 4 of us are at the gathering.... and all of our gear and food... Bliss Ninja will be a main circle kitchen this year!!!

    Love!!!

Whats it doing? If you just got the carb rebuilt, it should at least run, maybe like poop without being tuned, but it should run.

Could be something as simple as a fuel filter.

    Now that he's said
He gets all this advice...Bet this will be one of those threads that will rise from the dead about a year after the bus gets sold.

yep, i got tractor for cheap cause the owner couldnt keep it running. Turned out a round cardboard piece from a full stabilizer bottle cap was floating around messing with the filter/pump.

yeah... the bus is sold... we bought a new carborator, it gave too much fuel to the engine, and it was flooding out.. all sorts of drama, and the people who came down to help me didn't expect to be there more than a few days... in the end, there wasn't the energy there to get the bus running... I sold it, and bought a car that works, so now I don't have to depend on someone with a vehicle.... I'm headed west to buy a bus that works... if you've ever run a brokedown schoolbus where you are the only person really invested in the project, you probably have some idea what I was up against. in the 2 months I was brokedown in cleveland I had the starter refurbished, wires coming out of the ignition caught on fire and had to be replaced, the distributor went (timing a distributor isn't the most fun in the world) and then I spent around $600 trying to get the carborator fixed. Meanwhile I was brokedown in the 'hood' where there were no resources for us besides some kind souls who let us keep the bus there for a month or so and didn't want to charge us money for anything except to pay their mechanic.... 'Grati2de' the bus will be coming soon to a gathering near you... meanwhile 'Gratitude' the bus helped some 35 people get at least part of the way to the gathering, as well as a bunch of food and people, and we were able to feed main circle as "Bliss Ninja" almost every night of main circle (the food actually tasted like something too :) It was a beautiful experience, we all had a lot of fun, met new people... homebums were taken to the woods and have many new opportunities... 3 cats and a dog were rescued... plants were taken to places where they could be taken care of... seeds were exchanged... nothing exactly went according to plan... but I don't see it as a total failure... Love

howdy i saw gratitude on the springfield mo square. i was quite impressed. i rode a bicycle 50 mi the next day, i really could have used the helpin traveling, i was actually going east. but it would`ve been really hard to ask y`all for the help @ the time as y`all seemed to be swamped, so i didn`t ask. i really could`ve used in that i was tryin to setup a gathering @ the time. anyhoo if y`all ever come back toward springfield mo lemme know.
