how does this work? i'm born on nov 22. from an astrologist's standpoint, does that mean i exude more scorpio qualities or sagittarius qualities? or both at once? or both at different times?
Not all astrologers do this. I don't. People who believe this never seem to talk about the Moon being on a cusp, or Jupiter, or Saturn, etc. If a planet is in a sign, it's in a sign. Period. What you are talking about has only been talked about in the last few decades by confused astrologers.
I wonder Enlil6 if you have ever stepped back and taken a look at your 3 main Signs - your Rising, Moon and Sun Sign (Linda Goodman says that "the two most important positions in any natal chart, after the Sun Sign, are the Ascendant and the Moon Sign"). I have looked, in many people, and beyond the strong influence our environment has on us, these 3 areas are very evident in their personalities. Maybe it is a modern way of looking at the Signs, especially using the traits of the Zodiac to help us see into the person, but I would venture to say that many people would benefit greatly "psychologically" by learning and understanding the traits they get from these 3 areas. It's a lot less complicated and clearer for the laymen to understand their traits than it is to try and decipher all the in-depth aspects of a full reading. Readings have their place but for the masses much help is needed, especially in today's society, to give people real clarity in understanding why they are a certain way and how they are responding to others. I've had many charts done for me and I keep getting disappointed by how they don't help me with life. That's what I would hope it would do for us. I Believe: Learning the Traits of your Rising, Moon and Sun Signs (the traits of the neighbor Sign if any Sign is within 10 degrees of the Cusp) will help you finally “see” what energy and Behaviors make up your personality. I have Tau/Ari, Gem/Tau, Aqu/Cap traits in my personality
