As a web based email service I agree; however you can't use it with a POP3 email client such as thunderbird, eudora, pegasus, pocomail etc.

With hotmail you're pretty much stuck with Outlook or Outlook express. These are vulnerable because most viruses are written to attack the built in address book of these programmes.

Plus, with any free email service (or anything come to that) it always pays to read their privacy policy, you might be surprised if you do.


On that note, how many people here have read the hipforums privacy policy? Do you know that posting on this site implies that you viirtually give up the ownership of your work?
