Ok. I know. Another storage question thread. Lame, right? But my friend just got a couple of strips and wants to bring them to a 4 day camping event. Obviously a freezer/fridge is not an option. Seeing how it is the summer it will obviously be hot. He's worried it might degrade because of the heat. A few of our friends are meeting us the second day down there so they wouldn't get consumed until then. What is the best way to preserve it?
try something like keeping them in a cooler. assuming you are going to have ready acess to ice to refill your cooler with. something like putting the already wrapped up doses (plastic wrap, tinfoil, and plastic bags, in a small hard plastic container/box should work. keep that in your backpack in the shade, or keep it in your cooler. of course, if you keep your doses wrapped up in plastic wrap as well as aluminum foil and a plastic bag or two it doesn't make them very acessible. but it does seem to lock in the lysergic freshness. i'd suggest, not keeping your doses inside of the tent or car unless they're in a cold cooler too.
in a metal container (the kind gum comes in sometimes) in a baggy, in your knapsack whereever its coolest.
Get something like these. They are waterproof, I use them when sailing. You can get them at any outdoor store. They cost about 6 bucks.
This! You can always be extra cautious and use a zip lock and foil in addition to the tupperware. Also, wait a while after you take it out of the cooler to open if you want to be hyperparanoid (think condensation).
squirrels dont hide things in there cheeks, they can carry a few things,, but not stuffers.. http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/featured/stuffed-cheeks/15087 and thats a chipmunk in the one pic, not a squirrel..
no. if your hits are in a layer or two of plastic bags inside a hard plastic container like a tupperware container then it will stop any condensation or liquid from getting inside.
A friend of mine did the cooler thing once and said he completely lost all the magic on the blotter. Maybe its because he didn't allow it to go to room temp before opening the bag first?
i don't know. i've heard rumors that it is moreso a change in heat than high temperature that causes degredation in lsd. although i have no verifiable facts about the matter. so if that was the case you would want to keep the acid in the cooler all the time. not cooler/sun/cooler/sun/cooler/sun. you can eat frozen acid and still trip just fine. i've done it before.
