I am so proud of my 14 year old daughter

We went to be audience members for the show Don't Forget the Lyrics! on Thursday (10 hours of clapping and yelling ).
Well they always have some guy who's job is to get the audience fired up and participate and fill in the slow parts of the day with banter and shit. Well this guy was making off-hand racist comments all day long (him being a gay white guy);
"Everybody clap in rhythm to the music, white people follow the blacks"
When some white kid did some awesome dancing, "Are you sure your white?"
When he lined up people to have a little dance contest, he put them in this order; (race)
white, black, black,white,white black, white
Then made the remark that it looked like a backwards Oreo cookie.

and many more such remarks, you get the picture.

On our way home we were talking about how offensive his remarks were.

Well yesterday my wife took the kids up there again for the same deal. (they will pay people to be in the audience, thats why we did it, girl scouts fund raising)

Well I guess that when they were there my daughter called the guy over during one of the down times and proceeded to just rip him a new one about his remarks and called him racist and told him he should think about what he says. I guess people sitting around her were astonished that someone so young would be so bold and on target with her opinion.
I love her and the fact that she speaks her mind when she is right.
It is not just the angry lashing out of a kid. She is very literate and concise when stating her opinion, much more so than most adults I know.
She has also torn into people at functions about drinking when they have to drive afterwards.
Wish I was there to see it.

Oh and we are as white as the driven snow in case anybody was wondering.

There's a belief (or delusion) amongst some blacks that white man is Edom must be inherently destroyed to forced into slavery. I've been warned by even a colleague that I'm to make the most of it, and then tells me each to his own.

I believe with such disposition of those individuals please consider the self-evident inconsistancy. You cannot warn a man about his impending slavery and tell him that each man has his own belief. That's what so flawed about the material world and uneducated persons. He doesn't like the fact that his employer prefers him to have knowledge of the business strategy and then boasts of his "scholar" work.

He has even made assumptions about the way I live my life and what I believe. That's another problem with that sort of groups. Their exclusive in their belief. It's all about them, and anyone who isn't black will be destroyed by their I AND I.

I wouldn't condemn anyone for their instincts, those can't be helped. But how often do people have an instinct and then claim that it is in fact reason that drives them to their belief and not instinct?

I don't care what anyone's gut tells them, but as soon as some one tries to claim that instinct is reason, I will call bullshit. If some one feels the way they do 'just because' I can accept that. But as soon as some one starts providing reasons behind that instinct, those reasons are up for debate and as such it is fair game to argue against using reason.

 

Well, if you're a white man, it's certainly true that some do.

 

That's the problem with "all" arguments. It only takes one example contrary to prove the argument false.
