hey there mister eight-legs

so, I'm really diggin' on the Octopus. I mean, they're just cool motherfuckers, right. They've got eight legs with suction cups. How cool is that? Plus, they can be cute.

Also, I haven't been on RT in like a week, so I felt the need to post something. At least its random.



Tentacles are so cool.

 

funnily, octopuses actually freak me a bit. I have a pretty irrational fear of deep water, and stories about giant octopuses and what not never ceased my ever apparent imagination

 

Yeah, I think they are one of the ugliest creatures on this earth

 

I have not ever seen one up close in a natural setting but have seen them in captivity and on nature shows.

They seem rather cumbersome when not swimming but when they swim they are very graceful looking.

 

I have a terrible fear of deep water as well, which is why I don't understand my new love for cephalopods.
I'm scared to death of sharks and most other things lurking in oceans that I can't see. I'm still fascinated though haha

I'm sure they think the same thing about humans. I mean, compared to other animals, land or ocean, look at how weird we are.

how often I wished I had a third hand while building stuff .

Oh, not? Now I'm a little bit disappointed. Imagine you and your sweetheart sitting on the couch. He has one arm around your shoulders, one arm is positioned at the lower parts of you. The third and the fourth arm can open the cheese crackers, the next pair of arms might be used to open the bottle of wine. Any arms left? Ah, dim light would be fine, here goes the seventh arm. And I'm sure you find a usage for the eighth arm ;-).
