Anyone else from the UK agree that the problem with street smokers has become ten times worse since the smoking ban?

I am sick of this shit. I'm not allowed to smoke hash anywhere, but I have to put up with second hand tobacco smoke everywhere I walk in the city, and end up getting a headache and sometimes a cough because of it?

Fuck that. I mean fucking seriously fuck that in the ass.

With all the space outside you can't find one area that's smoke free, even for just a few minutes?!

 

If you leave the city yes, but the problem is everywhere you walk there is always someone in front of you smoking, and people standing outside all the pubs. It's impossible to get away from it.

Asides from the pollution and health hazards to non-smokers and children, there is also the issue of noise pollution. A lot of people are now complaining that they get disturbed until 4am because of people standing outside of clubs.

And the number of times I've gone to a club recently, and I'm looking for a chick, and where are they all? Standing outside having a fag!

Then when you leave the clubs the doormen now have taken on the role of the police and they ask you to move away from the club- you are not allowed to stand outside for a few minutes and chat to people, find out where the party is that everyone is going to because the council makes everywhere shut at 3am!

It's just complete and utter stupidity the whole thing. Bring it back into the pub where it belongs and force venues to have proper airco.

Oh yeah and legalise cannabis!

In one of the buildings where I study they banned it indoors. Then a whole group of people would hang out in front of the building smoking away like chimneys. Then a sign went up outside the building stating that the area in front of the building was a smoke-free zone.

here im Mass its been this way for some time. I dont mind butts in bars but to be honest I prefer it outside, unless its winter. That sucks

Then you didn't want us smoking in the building at all, so you bitched and bitched until it was illegal to smoke in any public establishment.
