So...yeah...I know I shouldn't have burnt any DMT, but I like my method and it does occasionally burn a little apparently. I know because I have some black sticky stuff in the water part of my pipe (which I don't put water in for DMT) that I've smoked a lot of DMT through. So, I scraped a little of this off and put it into this home wooden pipe that I had sacrificed to psychedelics when I put some freebase DPT in it along time ago....and tried melting some of it without burning it a second time.... It seemed pretty effective. I was really just doing a test, so I wasn't prepared, but I ended up getting a medium sized hit....I had to just stand still there for a few minutes since I wasn't prepared. Nothing huge or breakthrough...but it seemed like one hit of the black stuff was almost as strong as one of real crystals. I know I'm just letting everyone know I burnt some.....which is bad....but I was curious if anyone else ever had some of this stuff build up and tried smoking it.
See, with a freebase pipe, the vapor condenses all over the pipe and leaves brown residue, which you can just apply heat to, have it melt, and vape it all again. It's a very economic system. You're not losing any dmt.
There's a really good glass blower that's been at Gathering of the Vibes for a few years now. If he's there this time, I think I'm going to ask him about making a classic DMT freebase pipe, with the bend in the neck. (I'm referring to http://deoxy.org/gz_howy.htm for what they call the classic DMT pipe.) So, I'll finally give in and try smoking it the right way.... I also have a little Henessey bottle that I got a long time ago. I never got any steel wool or tried drilling a hole through the bottom, but I guess I should try "the machine" too.
crack/freebase/oil burner/ dick pipes whatever people call them are forever ruined for me after smoking meth, felt so dirty. I have read that DMT often does allow for a second hit of already 'cashed material' or occasionally people will get a hit when they previously had smoked dmt but are just trying to smoke pot or something if they use some type of pipe/bong/bubbler, that must be a pleasant surprise.
Don't need to be a buzz-kill, but sounds like at that point the spice is burned and yeah, you're getting a hit of powerful alkaloids including N, N, DMT and DMT-Oxide, but what about Skatole (3-methylindole)? This is a very important question, as it has been shown to cause pulminary edema. Obviously, smoking or even vaporizing freebase DMT or any chemical or plant matter is not good for the lung tissues, but skatole is particularly not good. Check the wikipedia entry for beginning information. We need to be seriously asking ourselves if this is a by-product of burning or improperly vaporizing DMT and remains within the DMT resin. i personally do NOT own a GC/MS machine to find this out via direct analysis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3-methylindole Thus, i respectfully recommend that you forgoe that DMT resin hit, clean the pipe and maybe start re-crystallizing your spice before vaporizing and perhaps also invest in a Vaporgenie or good DMT vaporizing device (this does NOT include the so-called crack/meth/oiler pipes, even if they are bubblers). Yeah....I decided to toss it. I really like to have something close to 50mg anyway...it makes me feel safer...so smoking an unknown would just cause trouble. (I'm not sure where skatole comes in...I see it's been added to cigarettes.) I decided to try my vapor bros vaporizor the other day. That seemed to work pretty well, but wasn't a full trip. I had already smoked DMT a few out of my normal pipe, and was smoking a lot of weed after that, so...my brain was not functioning fully to enjoy it. But...I plan to try again soon. I already loaded it up with about 75mg. The DMT I have been smoking that created the resin looked very clean. White fluffy crystally stuff.... But, I'm onto a batch that has some plant material now because the white is finally gone. This stuff is slightly orange from a third pull. I'm going to try doing the less pure stuff in the vaporizor and see how it goes.
