Is this an abcess? HELP

Last night, I was using a new vein I never hit before, it is rather small and angled weird, but I registered blood. After I shot it , 30 minutes later it is hurting like a *****. This has happened to me before and it all went away, but today I looked at it after I woke up and here's what it looks like:

Is this an abcess? I have had one before because of MRSA, i got lanced and everything. This isnt as swelled up and theres no "zit" looking point yet, the little red dot is where i shot at.

I have no problem with walking into an ER but i have NO idea what I would say as to how this happened. Should i give it a couple days? Its painful right now but thats it

 

you say, "hi I shot up drugs, did this to my arm".. What do you think they are going to do call the cops?,, no!!..
They will fix you and laugh at you for coming to a level one trauma center, for a self inflicted bug bite..

 

well my other fellow junkies have told me if you go and say it straight up like that, they put your name on some kind of list, and after they do that, have a good time ever trying to get painkillers for legit pain again. I dont want that shit to happen and plus im not even for sure this is an abcess yet. Ive had this same level of pain before from shooting, just not with that big area of light redness

legit pain is legit pain.. I suppose it depends on what kinda hospital it is, around here they could make you a pill junkie in a week with just sprains and bruises..

 

My junkie cousin got gangrene and seriously almost lost his arm, it was fucked up, you are stupid to even do shit like that if you don't know what you are doing. And after the hospitals know you are a junkie they will stop giving you medication for legit pain, SWIM's wife grabbed the door and smacked her face to break her nose to get pills last summer. She came back with nothing, cause she does shit like that all the time.

The emergency walk in places up here don't perscribe any pain meds, benzos or opiates anymore either.

 

This place is FULL of fuckin pussies.... I seriously don't think you have a absess bud but im no doctor and have never gotten one so I can't help much... but the rest of these people are USELESS....

 

Probably cause we are not junkies and don't like dirty needles. Who's useless?

No, I said I dont want to check myself in and say ive been shooting up and then get DENIED pain meds later on when im older and get hurt.

heh ive been in the hospital for absceses twice and both times they gave me oxycodones, and last time iwas in there witha rabdomyolisys they pumped me full of dilaudid, and gave me 20 oxy 5s a day. this was in eugene though so go figure

I dont see why everyone is gettin on dudes shit for using needles, it's just another ROA to use your drug of choice. Hell, half of people put their drugs up their ass, now thats a lot weirder than stickin yourself. If you practice safe shooting techniques, you shouldnt have any more trouble than eating or snorting. Just because you use a needle you are not a 'dirty junkie'. The next time you need pain meds at the ER, you better turn down the IV, then go to the bathroom and skull-fuck yourself, dont wanna be another 'dirty junkie'

Ya for everyone who keeps saying "junky" (junkie, btw) you're all fucking lame as fuck. your in an opiate forum. Do oxycontin for two years then tell me not switching to heroin isn't a good idea -financially-. I used totally safe methods every fucking time, until last night when i was on xanax and tried shooting up. I used the same needle every time i missed, but like i said, i was on xanax too.

Yeah when i had an abscess for MRSA they gave me vicodin, BUT i had it for a legit reason. If this is an abscess and I have to go to get it removed, I dont know what the fuck I would say, it's on my arm you know..I have no record of being in the hospital for this kind of shit, so if I go in and they know its cos of opiates, I doubt they will give me any, they'll just be dicks to make me deal with the pain. Unless I can come up with a story of how I got it..

Maybe you were workin in an attic, or cleaning some debris and you got stuck with a nail? Will prob be gettin a tetnis shot then, but I think they are less painful these days. What they dont know wont hurt them.

 

Probably isn't anything to worry about.
