As an animal rights activist, I never thought of doing this (animals have much different metabolisms).. Then I hotboxed my room with my dog sleeping in it and then he ate the bit of firecracker (weed cookie) I had left while I was in the other room and he got EXTREMELY stoned and the EXTREMELY excited (off and on) all the while having the biggest slimy ass boner ever. O.O After that, he comes to me when he smells weed. BUT never force it on an animal, they may not know what is going on. Imagine if started tripping the hardest you ever were randomly, like at a business meeting, school or while driving and Not Know What Drugs Are.
Please don't get your cats high, they will become enlightened and as everyone knows they are sorcers instead of shamans and the next thing you know they will coerce you into a life of servitude to buy food for them, buy pointless toys with bells in them, buy pads they can scratch and make you clean their poop while they meow at you to work harder. They may even steal your chair and force you to remove them.
for the record, my friends cat used to eat his weed. but this belongs in the stoner's lounge for sure.
Yeah it's bad to force them to get high, but if they obviously like it, then there's nothing wrong with it.
I go outside to smoke at night, and our cats outside will Hunt Me Down everytime I start toking. I don't blow it, intentionally, in their ears, faces or nothing. They will walk this brick wall that is head high and put their heads in it. The more smoke, the better it seems. On the outside-bench, they will sit in my lap and wait for the out-smoke. About 2-3 hits, they are laying, on the ground, playing with things nobody sees. They they come inside and eat until they get tired of that. D)
We used to have a 15 year old arthritic cat with chronic renal failure who fought off death and weight loss cheerfully for a couple of years after being told she had 5 months. Not only did this cat join us in our sessions, she would suggest/initiate them! We would smoke on a couch and she would sit on the arm next to my husband. When he exhaled she would lean forward into the smoke- we didn't have to do anything, she was in control. Sometimes she would lean so far forward she would nearly put her head into my husband's mouth as he exhaled very slowly. The medicine helped her with pain, sleep and weight loss issues. Being basically healthy, but middle aged, arthritic, 114 pounds at 5'7" and somewhat insomniac, i really sympathise with old Toonces. i miss her terribly but i will never forget how she would try to waylay us as we would try to exit the apartment by jumping up on the couch arm and meowing loudly - suggesting that we blow off work (or whatever) for a quick session with her! Peace & Love, Spicey Cat Purrrr!
Since all strings of Cannabis are from South and Central Asia, and the species that have descended into the domestic cat through intervention by men also come from Asia, it would be apparent that at one point in evolution cats would have eaten out of curiosity Marijuana in some forest. Beyond that, Cannabinoid receptors definitely exist within cats. Proof of this can be seen by the administration of morphine by most vets to cats after surgery. This can be seen in this NIH Study: http://projectreporter.nih.gov/project_info_description.cfm?icde=0&aid=7673144 and here as well: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/4276540 I think it's pretty cool that most mammals have these receptors, so I agree. A little ganja smoke towards kitten won't hurt him/her.

why does everyone want to get their pets stoned? People always say that their pets love it, mabye they just like the attention your giving them? most pets are chill 24/7, even if there not chill theyre still fun to play with. Save the bud for yourself and give your furry friend some catnip.
