Anyone actually think this will work? If so, wouldn't it mean we could smoke wherever we wanted without fear of arrest... if so, it's the second best thing ever since legalization.

I'm starting the process now, but I have to wait 24 hours for the cannabinoids to get into the alcohol.

Did I just waste some weed or will this be great?

I suppose it's possible... If it does work, let us know... Oh and grain alcohal would probably be better that isopropyl alcohol, which is toxic... Just get as high a % as possible...

Doesn't the alcohol get evaporated though?

Will smoking one of these give me permanent brain damage?

Yeah, the acohol should be evaporated, using the grain alcohol is just a precaution...

    Thanks.

Isn't hash made a similar way to this?

How long do you think the evaporation process will take, and is there anything cheap and easy I can buy to make it go faster?

Yeah, hash is made in a similar way... I'm not sure how long it will take to evaporate, but heating it will speed it up, of course that can be dangerous though... Best way is probably to leave it in direct sunlight or something for a day or two...

dont put it in the sun. sunlight disolves THC. isopropyl is what is used for most chem extractions on plant mater since its got a much higher soluibility. having a fan or warm air blowing on it will speed it up. basicly you want some place dark, warm, dry, with airflow. it will work fine if you like smoking cigaretes.

Most isopropyl alcohol you can easily buy is either 70% or 90%... Everclear is 95% and isn't toxic... Well not as toxic anyway...

I can think of plenty of warm dark dry places, but the airflow one is hard. Any suggestions? What about outside at night?

Do you have any idea how long it will take? Hours? Days? Weeks?

I see a BIG problem with this. The filters in cigarettes filters out THC like crazy. Remove that if you plan to get high.

If you are in a place where smoking cigarettes is acceptable, you probably won't be too out of place smoking a joint, as you would have what looks like a hand rolled cigarette anyway with this method.

Only thing I could think of would be the smell, but with tons of cigarettes going I doubt it will be that big of a deal.

Ummm... the only 2 types of IPa sold at my supermarket are 90% and 99% the other 1% is most likely water. Also this is simmilar to making hash oil which is diffrent than hash.

indeed hash and hash oil are diffrent. aside isopropinol is able to suspend thc far more effectivly than everclear meaning less fluid to material ratio which will accelerate drying. and isnt as toxic as you beleive it is. human body can injest about 1oz before you become ill from it which is way way more than you could ever get in a cig.

According to the website it won't smell like weed, but like tobacco.

How bad are the filters? Really bad?

What if I kept the filters on, but cut a hole down the center of the filter?

Yeah, you should definantly take the filters out... If all goes right, they should smell like tobacco.

All I can find is 70%. The inactive ingredient is water, however, so that will just evaporate too.

Can anyone give me any idea of how long evaporation will take?

I think it's pretty stupid. If you're making the hash oil anyways, why not just put some on a cigg and smoke that? I agree with TeaWithATwist though. Just roll a joint ( Maybe of a tobacco/weed mix) and say it's a handrolled.

Could I put the solution on a stove over a low flame to make it evaporate faster? How much heat can the cannabinoids handle?

That would work, however there is the risk of the alcohol igniting... If you're going to do that, I'd advise using a double boiler...

What happens if the alcohol ignites? I feel kind of stupid asking this, but what's a double boiler? I've heard the term before and I'm sure we have one in the house.

Basically can anyone tell me the safest, best procedures to follow for this?
