If it's one of those self contained window AC units, it doesn't echange indoor and outdoor air. They pull air in, through the coils and back into the room. The hot air you feel outside is produced by a fan on the outside of the unit, the heat transfer through the coolant in the coils. Unless yer unit has a 'vent' then you would need an exhaust vent ot of the room which is required in any case, so the plants have a fresh source of Co2.
Still a dehumiderfier is an Ac unit that circulates air through both coils thus the excess temps, the whole idea of an air cooler is to pass the air from the room, through the Evaporation coil, and back to the room (hopefully cooler than it started). The heated coolant then passes to the condenser coil where the heat (from the room) is exhausted to any space outside the room. Condensation occurs in the cooling cycle, so the water will need to be drained away from the room with a hose.
