Was in the same boat... in my experience, only one place out of the dozens I've applied to actually did prescreening. Guess which job offer I didn't accept?

Anyway, in hindsight I'm pretty glad I cut back. I've been chilling on this 1/2 for the past 2 months and still have about 9/10 of it left so I'm saving money and it only takes like 3 decent rips to get baaaaaked. Smoking is more "special" somehow now that I'm not doing it multiple times a day and I look forward to it and appreciate it much more than I did.

All in all, I think it's not a bad idea to lay off it a bit while looking for a job, but as long as you find a job that doesn't perform randoms, there's no reason you have to cut it out all together. Nothin' like a fat green bowl after a long stressful day at work :sifone:

I have twice, two different jobs but those jobs are on call....

Problem is that a drug screen costs about $200 for the company. They will only screen applicants they are ready to make a job offer too, and you often don't know that until they hand you the specimen cup and paperwork to take to a lab.
Upshot is that if you get to the point of a pre-employment piss test, then if your clean or a medical user (they have to report a negative test result if you have a legit Dr. script for MJ, it's law) then you most likely have the job.

 

I think if they do screening they have to tell you and you have to sign paperwork saying you agree. If you don't sign, they don't have to hire you.

 

Yeah, when I applied to best buy they made me sign that I would give them permision to screen me, but none of the other 10 places I applied to didn't have that box. Idk if they're forced to or not.

 

That's true. That's why I said "Thanks, but I've decided to go with another offer" when they called to set it up... even though the pay was decent, there was no fucking way I was going to pass so I figured I'd save myself the hassle and some dignity lol.
