Like the title ses, I kinda need someone to help with backcombing. My wife I think will get alittle too frustrated......My hair is very thick and starting to natural dread on its own and is about 12" or so long. Ive got a hand full already in the back and around the sides from doing nothing but picking them apart and washing every day with dr. broners or prell shampoo. Thanks Brett
If they're already starting to dread, why do you want to backcomb them now? I can't help you anyway, wrong Continent, let alone city
yeah, i agree with merrivale. if anything, i'd let em do their thing. if you are impatient, or if certain parts are stubborn, you could twist and rip. t&r is easier to do on yourself than backcombing. welcome!
Lol im pretty sure everyone here backcombed haha except enayes cause he never had dreads but if they already forming then let em i guess but if you want to backcomb go for it not gonna make a difference still gonna take as long
Well Ill see what way I go. Its not like my whole head is dreading up yet. There are maybe 8 to 12 dreads along the bottom of the hair and kinda behind my ears. I really dont want to just let them go because Id like them to be sectioned atleast alittle. I do wash my hair quite a bit right now as I get completely filthy pretty often. I ride and race motorcycles and between dirt, sweat and helmets I get very dirty. But it sometimes seams the more dirty I get and then wash it the better they form and tighten up. A few of them are pretty nice already. I started to notice them forming maybe a month or 2 ago!
Pos do what you want man backcombin aint that bad itll make it look more sectioned but its gonna take just as long to knot up regardless. And enayes i saw your 5 month update and I saw some tangles thats about it you yourself said dreads take time
