I had my ears stretched once before and they have closed up since. I have scar tissue on one of them, I still wear earrings and it doesnt hurt and you can only tell its there if you squeeze the hole from the front and back, you can feel the circle of scar tissue..... Can I re-stretch them without harm? Can anyone point me to wooden earrings designed for stretching? Or to earrings that are designed to help stretch. With a male style to them too ha... Thanks,
I pierced my belly button three times in the same place and it was fine, I think re piercing or re stretching scar tissue is usually OK. Just a warning though it hurts like a bitch!!
yeah i think its fine, mine was 10mm , i got them up to that on the thursday.. and on the saterday night one came out in my sleep.. and closed back down to 4mm... i got it restretched,. its at 8mm now, goin to get it to 10mm next week. it hurts a little more! but its fine to do it... and jewelery.. emmm i dont know any websites.. im goin to get some too, a tattoo artist old me a site where he orders his jewellery from for his shop.. i forget the name of it!!! il get it again and let you know but to get them to strecth just buy a taper i dont know where your from but over here (ireland) in Argos you can get tapers, but they only go to 4mm... go 2mm at a time to be careful thats what i do... or you could get a taper on ebday or something.. done think theyre very expensive!!!!!!
Personally, I wouldn't try to stretch scar tissue. It will not stretch easily. Also, do not use wood to stretch your ears, and don't wear wooden jewelry in newly stretched piercings. Wood can harbour bacteria and cause infections. You should use implant or surgical grade steel. I would normally recommend tapers for stretching, but since you have scar tissue, you might want to try stretching with PTFE or bondage tape. I've used tapers, but I've heard that PTFE or bondage tape are gentler. You should look it up.
