i know some people in holland who are partying already, and are on the radio station they run just yelling about the world cup.
They showed pictures of The Museumplein absolutely packed with fans decked in orange I hope there's some youtube videos later of people blazing massive joints haha
I didn't even like soccer, but everybody here is insane about it, just two blocks from my apartment 500-600 people were carrying a giant Algerian flag, so it wasnt hard to get swept up in it... It's "the thing" to do here I guess, to honk your car horn a shit ton when your team wins, It's been all day long with it now, people with Spain flags driving down the road!! haha, they made a mint in mini flags!!!
i was watching the game live and a cop must have been listening because as soon as spain scored he had his sirens on and he was doing that siren noise when a cop car turns off his sirens it goes beeeeeeoooouup.. he was doing that over and over again for a minute before he stopped... haha i was just thinking "wtf he's celebrating?"
I used to not like soccer... but then I realized... whoa this is awesome. I wouldn't wanna play it though, but it's fun to watch.
