Hello I'm working on neglect dreadlocks i'm on my 3rd week but every time I wash my hair which is about 2 times a week it feels that all my progress is going down the drain. My hair feels not as knotty as before and help?

Like anytime I run my hair under water or when I wash it with baking soda every 3 or so days and i rub my scalp and don't run my fingers through hair or anything like that.

well then, just be gentle. shit happens. try circular rubbing with your palms and squeezing things with a towel to dry. Also, it's only been three weeks,so just be patient :D

I do rub in a circle and dry by squeezing but I won't use Dr. Bronner's cause I heard that it leaves residue all natural doesn't mean no residue so I just use baking soda and water.

The thing is in the beginning you don't really have anywhere for the residue to stay. I stopped using bronners kinda because of the residue issue...
I've got some pretty tight locks and it's a pain in the ass to have to rinse multiple times to get all the suds out. I believe one of the reasons that people have problems with bronners residue is that they don't rinse it all out.
If you don't want to try it that's cool but sometimes it's fun to experiment otherwise you'll never really know... (kinda like the quote in your sig :D)

Ya I see what your saying but I don't want to spend money on something I'm not going to use all the way but I like how baking soda keeps my hair clean and its not as greasy as when I used shampoo.

It's really hard to just find one shopping around. You would think 100% wool was illegal or something. I looked for years and ended up finding one at a fest booth. If you look on some sites you could easily get one mailed to your door.

Any 2nd Hand Clothing Store e.g. Salvation Army, Has Them For A Few

Bucks, Since Your Not Going To Be Seen Wearing It, If They Have One

With A Hole In It, Most Likely They Will Give It To You....:).

    Cheers Glen.

Mine was a whopping $5 once I found it, and to stat on topic I was joking about the Bronner's, that's just what everyone says. Any shampoo is fine for your hair.

it's fine. it takes time to form the initial knots. this is the slowest part of neglect
