At last!!! The spill has been stopped, completely! Now maybe BP will focus on stopping the damage it's caused and cleaning up the mess. Some ppl are saying there's a much bigger hole in the sea floor spewing more oil a few miles away. Some guy on TV is claiming the small pipe we see in the pix isn't capable of spilling the amount of oil that has appeared in the Gulf in the time it's been leaking. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/15/gulf-oil-spill-stopped-bp_n_647988.html
Things You Can DoTake the Pledge: Take the pledge not to visit Alberta and tell your friends and family to do the same. I pledge not to visit the province of Alberta until the Alberta Government does the following: a.Halts the expansion of the Tar Sands. b.Stops spending millions of dollars on public relations campaigns designed to keep the United States addicted to dirty Tar Sands oil. c.Takes meaningful steps to transition its economy away from dirty Tar Sands oil to clean energy alternatives. Way to alienate their readers. What the fuck are Albertans supposed to do? Not go home
Has anyone seen this article? What do you think? Any truth to it? Is it possible? Could the spill have caused an unstoppable world ending catastrophe?
I've thought of this. It really could have a negative effect on a large part of the world. I would think it could do terrible things to the atmosphere. Maybe not of doomsday proportion but nevertheless.
still dwarfed by methane mud volcanos around the world.. They are also often associated with lava volcanoes; in the case of such close proximity, mud volcanoes emit incombustible gases including helium, whereas lone mud volcanoes are more likely to emit methane.. the earths atmosphere is much wider than the earth itself.. pretty big blue ball from space.. Dont worry so much about it.. just do your part is making better living decisions., It will be alright.. possibly this conversation will carry on til, you're 80..
Obama's campaign got donated a lot of money from BP. there are also many things to suggest this wasn't an accident either. so much for change and hope
recent measurements have suggested as much as fourty percent methane was being emited from the spill. this is getting all too weird for my likings

Now if you listened to lindsey, this guy wants to drill like a mad man in Alaska.. yeah big deal "loads of oil, 200yrs worth" at what cost?.. the government says no to oil drilling in Alaska, whats that tell you?? Our environment is more precious than $1.99 gasoline in California.. The gulf takes plenty abuse, it is a sewer so to speak.. All the flooded materials washing out the Mississippi go right to the ocean. But it is also a rapidly changing coastal area.. And the truth is its location makes it much more recoverable than that in ALASKA.. Had this happened in Alaska. I dont think it would ever recover... This has never been done before, this depth, pressures like this.. but I cant seem to stop asking myself.. Since when do engineers not think ahead? This brings a silly question to mind its sort of a mindfuck. you send men to the moon by rocket, the rocket gets to the moon and crashes tilting the moon fucking the earth up.. thinking ahead, you have a rocket to get the men back to earth 1, or bump the moon back into place 2?.. Meanwhile everyone on Earth has mixed emotions, fuck them Astronauts, bump the moon, rescue the astronauts the earth will fix it self says some scientist.. blah blah.. What are you gonna do?
