Osiris sucks dude.. they don't last long at all... fell apart in about a month i'll continue my list of skate shoes that suck: DVS(just feel like shit and have even shittier grip) Adios(lasted 2 weeks.. crap soles) I have only had luck with DC, Circa, and Etnies... I also have a pair of Vans that the sides on one of them ripped out the first week of owning them.. but since losing weight my feet have slimmed out.. i have stitched them up.. and they seem to fit great.. and the waffle pattern pwns all when it comes to grip... I'd really love to own a pair of Five Tens but they are expensive.. $100+
yeah.. if you really like skate style shoes.. i'd stick to the 3 brands i named.. Etnies, Circa, and DC
yeah i like etnies. i'm currently wearing the blue Arto Saari model like the one pictured here.. i've had these shoes for a longgg time.. i dunno if they even still sell them, this was the only pic i could find online. they held up pretty good, are pretty tattered and beat up now but thats bound to happen after a couple years. i just change the laces from time to time and im good to go. the stitching around the bottom of the shoe is starting to fall apart though... so ill probably have to buy new shoes pretty soon
Is it savable? I glued a few lose threads around the front of my sole with Gorilla Glue. That stuff will expand all foamy and then set real solid. Shoe Goo is a made for sneakers glue also, that seems like it would be more flexible if doing big areas.
Etnies are my new brand. Skateboarding sneakers are easily the best way to go. Its like walking on air. Besides those i like the addias, black and white. Jeez. I beleive i have a addiction to sneakers as well, i just dont got the mulah.
yeah its savable for a while probably. the stitching is like just starting to work its way out, and the bottom part is starting to come off the sneaker... i've already got some shoe-goo on the bottom of my left sneaker.. i have a small tube of it somewhere. it will definitely be fixable, but in my experience the shoe-goo only lasts so long.. and especially if you do a lot of running or skating, your shoes will fall apart again in no time.
skate sneaks are really only truely comfortable to people with low arches... if you have high arch feet.. you'll probably hate them without a special insole.. but other than that.. i agree.. ever since switching to skate shoes years ago... i have never looked back... no matter how tattered a pair of shoes are.. im always trying to find something better... and then usually my old pairs become my new work shoes... like my last pair of etnies... they were still white.. barely scuffed.. but i needed new work shoes... so they became them when i bought my circas... i need a new pair of shoes though.. something in black or a dark color... because besides my columbia hikers... all my shoes are currently red PS: 6pm.com always has amazing sales on shoes.. its like Zappos clearance items
i Love sneaakers ! New Balnce 498s are probably my favorite tho aha i have 8 pairs alone . Plus air max 95s and Any nike foreal !
I used to be big on shoess (^not mine, too lazy to get em outta the closet ) I got the red patent leather skytops back in 10th grade (over 2 years ago) and I don't wear them too much anymore. A little too flashy for me, and because after I got the skytops, I followed shortly after with the more subtle Supra Cubans. Got those sophomore year as well (they still look great as you can tell) and after I got em I fell in love with the comfort and ease. They fit my foot perfectly and i'm a lazy stoner and this was my first pair of slip on shoes. Not to mention, I still wear these more than my most recent pair of shoes and they're still top notch. and my most recent pair of shoes... got another pair of the cubans. This time in leather (I spilled some paint on em while cleaning the garage last week so I threw some more on there to make it look intentional, otherwise they're perfectly fine I promise) I think i'm overdue for a new pair of shoes...
I like your Skytops, wasn't a big fan of the way the cubans fit my feet though I'm trying to decide on a new pair of supras to get myself as only having the availability of my green patent leather Vaiders is very limiting. I'm thinking either these off-white wanna-be hemp looking Skytops The new lime and grey Skytop IIs Or these green canvas Dixons
I don't usually, but the Supras just have so much goddamn cushion it's like a built in ankle protector pulled right off of a soccer shinguard lol
