Prince says internet is "completely over"

People seem to like Facebook because you can choose to interact only with people you know in real life. People used to get online because they were sick and tired of all the losers they knew in real life.

Wikipedia is cool. If I could afford a printed encyclopedia that big, I wouldn't have a place to put it.

 

are you not freely speaking your mind here? The Internet has far less censorship than any other medium.

I do agree with your last sentence but wherever there is going to be money to be made corporations will find a way in.

 

i am freely speaking my mind here... Hip has a level of censorship i'm comfortable with.... it's the reason i'm a member here.

the internet has far more massive censorship tho'.... if you listen carefully, you can hear a billion chinese people grumbling quietly about it

 

I love Wikipedia as well, but have concerns since it is user-edited. It's the kind of tool where you know you can find most anything about most anything, but can only be partially assured the information is accurate. While I haven't run into any glaring inaccuracies, I understand they exist. In other words, it's a great tool for settling a friendly dispute, but I'm not sure I'd want to quote it in a dissertation or research paper.

I dont know, I think Ill always need to check my emails.. and get local info, Google Maps etc.

I like downloading music and movies on occasion too

but other than that, I think the internet is basically run by the porn industry!!
